Introduction This document provides a list of the Authorised Equipment, that BT Wholesale (BTW) support for use on IP Voice Services (IPVS). This list includes the following device types: IP Phones IP Phone Side Cars Analogue Terminal Adaptors (ATA s) & Intergerated Access Devices (IAD s) SIP Trunking Gateways IP PBXs Mobile Devices Please note we do not provide a list, or require customers to use pre-defined routers and/or other network related CPE, these are at the sole discretion of the IPVS customer. However, the recommendations and requirements provided in the Firewall Security Administrator Guide should be followed, available on the Support Portal. Overview All equipment listed here has undertaken extensive and rigid interoperability testing to ensure that firmware and feature sets are compatible with IPVS. Once products have completed testing they are then released as listed items onto the Service Provisioning Application (SPA) and Business Portal (BP) to enable customers to select these for use on the service. When these device types are selected from the drop-down menu s it will allow for any pre-configuration activity to take place and authenticate the device for use on the platform. Almost all of the equipment, with the exception of IP PBXs, on this list is available to purchase on the BT ecatalogue equipment ordering system, located at www.btecatalogue.com. All IP phones and ATAs supplied by ecatalogue are pre-configured to work with IPVS. This enables the user to plug the device in and directly pull down configuration from our service, without any need to program the device, meaning the device will work out of the box. Please note the IPVS platform continually monitors device types that are accessing its network. Non approved devices found accessing the network will result in service to these devices being terminated. Firmware that is referenced with IPVS Controlled is controlled by the IPVS platform. This means that if a user logs on with the wrong firmware, the platform will automatically update the supported equipment with the correct iteration of firmware. All other equipment that is not referenced as IPVS Controlled in the firmware column is the responsibility of the Customer to control. P a g e 1
