4 RBC Royal Bank Manage your accounts anywhere, anytime Accounts summary When you sign into Online Banking, you ll automatically be taken to the Accounts Summary page for a full listing of all your current accounts, credit cards, mortgages, loans and more. 6 4 4 Alert Inbox RBC Alerts is a service that keeps you in control of your finances through email and text message notifications. View your ebills With RBC ebills (a service provided by Canada Post) you can now get your bills delivered online, and pay them through RBC Online Banking. Chequing/Savings Click on any account name to view details of a specific chequing or savings account. Credit Cards Simply click on the account number to view account information and all recent transactions. Loans/Mortgages Check outstanding balance on credit lines, loans or mortgages, and review recent payments or transactions. 6 Pay bills quickly and easily From the dropdown list, choose From for the account you want to withdraw the money from. Select the credit card account, phone bill, person or company you want the money to go to. Enter the amount, select the currency from the dropdown list if necessary and hit Submit. Now, you ll be taken to a page where you can confirm or cancel your transaction. You can review your transaction details for accuracy, then select Confirm to receive your confirmation number. It s that easy! You can order personalized cheques through RBC Online Banking. Simply click on Order New Cheques under Account Services and follow the prompts to complete your order.
Your quick guide to RBC Online Banking Access your edocuments and setup Alerts You can always access your account information with ease, whether it is through Online Banking or your mobile phone. View and manage documents Alert Centre Access your electronic statements and trade confirmations anywhere, anytime. Your electronic documents are stored for up to seven years. You can also print them or save them to your own computer. How to set up electronic statements: Click on View and Manage Documents ; then, to set this option up for each of your accounts, click on Manage Documents and select Electronic from the dropdown menu next to each account. Once you ve set this up, you can view your documents by clicking the View edocuments tab on the View and Manage Documents page. Set up your preferences and you can opt to receive Alerts to your email address or mobile phone (as text messages). You can choose to receive Alerts for your RBC deposit accounts on: Large withdrawals Large deposits Low account balances Budget and net worth alerts according to your preferences in myfinancetracker If you don t want to receive Alerts on your mobile at night, you can setup the Do Not Disturb feature for specific times. Any Alerts sent at these times will be resent later.
6 RBC Royal Bank Stop a cheque or pre-authorized payment You have the option to stop the payment of any cheque you ve written, or any online pre-authorized payment you ve set up, provided the transaction has not yet gone through. Plus, it costs less to stop a payment online than to do it at the branch. 4 How to stop a payment From either the Accounts Summary page or Banking tab, click on one of your savings or chequing accounts. Under Account Details, click Stop a Cheque or Preauthorized Payment. You ll be informed that a $0 fee applies unless you have a banking account that provides this service for no additional charge. Click Continue. On the next screen: Select the type of payment you would like to stop: cheque or pre-authorized payment. Enter the details of the payment, including amount, date and payee. For cheques, you ll need to have the serial number handy. Click Confirm to complete the request. By choosing to stop a payment through Online Banking, you ll save $8 on what is usually an $8 fee in-branch.
Your quick guide to RBC Online Banking 7 Pay bills and transfer money at any time Make payments and transfer funds You can easily pay bills and transfer money to other RBC clients through RBC Online Banking. Pay bills and transfer funds Click on this link in the Quick Payments & Transfers box on the Accounts Summary page. Amount Enter the amount. From Select the account you wish to pay with from the dropdown list (i.e. where the money will be withdrawn). To From the dropdown list, select the payee (individual or company you wish to pay or transfer money to). Any bill that you pay in-branch or at the ATM is automatically registered as a payee online. This way, you can easily pay these bills online or through your mobile device. When You can change the date of your payment if you wish to postdate the transaction. You can also set recurring payments or transfers, for instance, if you want to send someone a set amount every month. Submit the payment When you are ready to complete the transaction, click Submit. On the next screen, review the details of your transaction and click Confirm. Add payee To add a new bill payee, click Add Payee under Related Services. You can then select the company you wish to add from a list of available billers and start making payments. To add a friend or family member who banks with RBC as a payee, click on Add Other Royal Bank Customer under Related Services, or Add Interac e-transfer Recipient as applicable. Payment history This gives you an itemized list with a full description of all your payments. Your bill payments are recorded automatically as they re made. You can view them anytime through the Online Payment History feature. You can also see any payments that were completed at an ATM or through RBC Telephone Banking. You can send money to anyone who has a bank account with RBC for free 4. All you need is their branch, account number and account name.

If you re making multiple payments and the money is coming out of the same account, this is a quick and easy way to make up to 0 payments at a time. 4 How to pay multiple bills In the Quick Payments & Transfers box on the Accounts 4 Summary page, click Pay Bills and Transfer Funds, then click Pay Multiple Bills in the left-hand menu. Choose the account the funds will be withdrawn from. Enter the amount for each payment. Select Continue and then confirm or cancel your transactions on the next page. You will receive a reference number for your records. Choose the payees from the dropdown menus. By choosing to pay multiple bills at once, you can save money because they will count as one transaction, so only one transaction banking fee will be applied.

All you need is your recipient s name and email address. An email notification is then sent to your recipient containing the link for them to accept the e-transfer. 4 How to add an Interac e-transfer recipient From the Account Summary page, select the 4 Banking tab. Enter the recipient s name, email address and a security question. Select Pay Bills and Transfer Funds from the left-hand menu. Then select Manage Payees. Click Continue. And then on the next screen, Confirm or Cancel the details of your new recipient. Select Add Interac e-transfer Recipient. You will be presented with a screen that identifies the cost of an Interac e-transfer and explains how it works. Select OK. Sending an Interac e-transfer only costs $, and some banking packages such as RBC Signature No Limit Banking and RBC VIP Banking already include it for free.
