Biometrics Institute Trust Mark Proposal The Biometrics Institute decided in 2014 to investigate the creation of a new trust mark for biometrics solutions. BIOMETRICS INSTITUTE TRUST MARK The Institute s experience with privacy codes and guidelines had made the Board aware that a successful trust mark would need to follow careful market, legal and technical research. The Board resolved to approach the exercise in stages, the first of which was to undertake a feasibility study and devise a road map. In January 2015, the Board selected Lockstep Consulting to conduct the feasibility study leading to this report.
