No minimum test scores required, CTY Talent Search participants automatically eligible to attend Intended for students and parents, emphasis on family participation Shorter academic experiences, typically one or two days in length More affordable for families
/family What do CTY Family Academic Programs offer? One day and overnight programs that take place on weekends throughout the year Programs for 2 nd 12 th graders and their families Programs held at museums, aquariums, nature and science centers, research institutions, and colleges and universities Program sites predominantly located in the Mid Atlantic, Northeast, and West Coast regions of the United States Educational travel and weekend programs during the summer and winter holidays

There are no minimum qualifying scores required and no need to wait for test scores to sign up for a program.

/ctyonline CTY Online Programs Overview CTY Online Programs offers high ability K 12 students challenging courses that are available all year long, accessible anytime, anywhere. Students work with expert instructors familiar with the needs of academically advanced students. Depending on the subject, courses include lively videos, simulations, hands on student projects, interactive lessons, virtual classroom sessions, athome lab experiments, and more. Students join worldwide virtual learning communities, and interact with one another in virtual discussion forums.

/ctyonline CTY Online Programs how do the courses work? Qualified student selects appropriate course, takes placement test if needed. Course begins! Instructor welcomes, guides, encourages, and provides extensive feedback, interacting via email, phone, and in live, virtual office hours or discussion forums. Depending in the course, student watches videos; reads books and online course materials; engages in interactive simulations and games; takes quizzes, tests and exams; and posts assignments, projects, and labs. Student completes final assessment and receives final evaluation, certificate, and recommendation for future course work from instructor.
/ctyonline CTY Online Programs benefits Challenging coursework, tailored to each student Expert instructors, with very low student teacher ratio Flexible formats: Individually paced: Students can progress on their own schedules and postpone for vacations and breaks (most math, science, and computer science courses) Session based:specific start and end dates, and due dates for assignments (writing, grammar, critical reading, visual fluency, world languages, inventions in Engineering, forensics, English language learning, and most AP courses) Flexi paced: Student and instructor set the schedule that best matches the student s needs (writing) Benefits for schools: Expands academic options; avoids busing to higher level school; avoids grade skipping; eliminates need to hire advanced teachers for small numbers; helps the school s teachers focus on students who need more face toface help.
/ctyonline What s NEW in 2016 for CTY Online Programs? Advanced Scratch Programming course creates intricate animations and games using complex logic and program design. AP Spanish Language and Culture (grades 9 12) course is conducted primarily in Spanish with authentic materials form the Spanish speaking world, and it is equivalent to a third year college course in Advanced Spanish writing and conversation. Young Adult Readers' Series (grades 7 9) course enhances critical reading, thinking, and writing skills through high interest, thought provoking books, analytical discussions, and creative writing assignments.

Our instructional staff have demonstrated expertise in their fields and the ability to captivate students with their enthusiasm.
/summer CTY Residential Staff Our residential staff provides a safe, enjoyable and engaging community for students outside the classroom. CTY recruits resident assistants with experience in college residential life, camp counseling, childcare, student leadership, or related areas.
