In 2008, the university publishers produced 381 titles, which meant that they accounted for 9.75 % of total production. Book exports In 2008, Chile exported books to the value of 23.55 m US $. The main countries for these exports were Venezuela, Argentina and Mexico. From January to July 2008, exports were made up of 941,328 non-fiction and literature titles, 3,781,994 encyclopedias, 195,849 school textbooks (primary and middle school), 255,293 textbooks, 1,964,988 technical-scientific books and 365,095 children's books.
