DISTANCE LEARNING COURSES AT BRONX COMMUNITY COLLEGE What are Distance Learning Courses? In Distance Learning Courses, part or all instruction is conducted, using the Blackboard Course Management System. There are two types of Distance Learning ronous Courses: One-third to three-quarters of coursework is conducted and the rest is in a classroom or lab. ronous Courses: 75% or more of the traditional coursework is conducted. To succeed in Distance Learning courses, students must be self-disciplined and good at managing their time and following directions. These characteristics are much more important than skill with computers. It is strongly recommended that students have access to the Internet at home. It will be very difficult to take a Distance Learning course without access at home.
