UnitedHealth Wellness Helping people lead healthier lives

Why Wellness? Influence health behaviors Identify high risk health needs Increase productivity Reduce absenteeism Improve employee satisfaction Manage escalating health care costs 2

Did you know 80% of all heart disease, stroke, type 2 diabetes and up to 40% of cancer could be prevented if people ate healthier, exercised and stopped using tobacco. 1 Adult obesity has doubled, while childhood obesity has tripled, in the past 25 years. 1 If obesity prevalence were the same now as in 1987, our annual healthcare costs would be $200 billion less each year. 2 1.
