TERMS AND CONDITIONS OF THE HSBC CREDIT CARD PROMOTION PROGRAMME 2015-2016 Lunar New Year campaign 1. HSBC s Credit Card Promotion Campaign 2015-2016 Lunar New Year ( Campaign ) is applicable in all transaction offices/branches and other channels registered by HSBC Bank (Vietnam) Ltd. ( HSBC ) in Vietnam. 2. Credit Cards which are not eligible to participate in this campaign: HSBC Business Credit Card HSBC Staff Credit Card 3. Application Period: from 15 December 2015 to 05 February 2016, both days inclusive. 4. Campaign Details: 4.1. Offer for new earliest Credit Card applications. Travel bags for the first 2,000 eligible applicants who submit a valid HSBC credit card application a. Applicable for HSBC Visa Platinum / Visa Gold / Visa Classic Credit Cards from 15/12/2015 05/02/2016 b. The gift cannot be replaced with any other products or exchanged for cash. c. Applications must be submitted to a Personal Banker of HSBC 4.2. Offers for new credit card applications: a. Submission date to join the promotion: 15/12/2015 05/02/2016 b. Primary HSBC Visa Gold/Visa Classic Credit Cards: Eligible Primary Cardholders will receive VND 1,000,000 cash back if (1) the credit card application is submitted and approved by HSBC no later than 19/02/2016, and (2) have a minimum spend on their Primary/Supplementary credit card of at least VND 1,000,000 within 30 days of the card issuance date and posted no later than 31/03/2016. c. Primary HSBC Visa Platinum Credit Cards: Eligible Primary Cardholders will receive VND 1,500,000 cash back if (1) the credit card application is submitted and approved by HSBC no later than 19/02/2016, and (2) have a minimum spend on their Primary/Supplementary credit card of at least VND 1,500,000 within 30 days of the card issuance date and posted no later than 31/03/2016. d. Primary HSBC Premier World MasterCard Credit Cards: Eligible Cardholders will receive VND 2,000,000 cash back if (1) the credit card application is submitted and approved by Issued by HSBC Bank (Vietnam) Ltd. HSBC no later than 19/02/2016, and (2) have a minimum spend on their Primary credit card of at least VND 2,000,000 within 30 days of the card issuance date and posted no later than 31/03/2016 e. Supplementary HSBC Premier World MasterCard Credit Cards: Eligible Cardholders will receive VND 1,000,000 cash back if (1) the credit card application is submitted and approved by HSBC no later than 19/02/2016, and (2) have a minimum spend on their individual Supplementary credit card of at least VND 1,000,000 within 30 days of the card issuance date and posted no later than 31/03/2016. Each eligible Primary cardholder will be awarded cash back for only one qualified supplementary card irrespective of how many supplementary cards he/she has that meet the total eligible spend. f. Each eligible cardholder will only receive (1) one cash-back for transactions made during the campaign period g. HSBC will award cash back no later than 15/04/2016. h. Eligible purchase transactions do not include credit card activation and cash advance transactions (including but not limited to cash advance transactions at counters, ATMs or POS and other cash advance transactions), HSBC fee-related transactions by credit and monthly instalment repayment and gambling-related transactions. i. HSBC reserves the right to reject any Application Form that is illegible, unclear, incomplete and/or not accompanied by supporting documents. j. Standard Terms and Conditions regarding Agreements and Eligibility Requirements for HSBC Credit Cards in accordance with HSBC s policy shall be applied. k. Credit Cardholders who refuse the cashback, submit a cancellation request or cancel their credit cards before or on the cash back delivery date will be disqualified. Credit cardholders who are late paying any bank fees, do not pay the minimum payment due as shown on their statements or are delinquent on any of their products with HSBC at the time of the Promotion result announcement will be disqualified. 4.3. Offers for using your credit card a. Offer Period: 15/12/2015 07/02/2016, both days inclusive. b. This offer applies to Primary Cardholders with HSBC Visa Platinum / Visa Gold / Visa Classic Credit Cards issued by HSBC Vietnam. c. Promotion Offers: Total of 8 Japanese Cherry Blossom package tours (a voucher of 5 days 4 nights for 2 persons) applicable for Platinum Credit card, and 16 iphone 6S applicable for Classic/Gold credit card. o Each week apply a Japan package tour for the first Platinum credit cardholder who Issued by HSBC Bank (Vietnam) Ltd. reach total spending value of 15 million VND earliest and o 2 iphone 6S for first 2 Classic/Gold credit cardholders who reach total spending value of 10 million VND earliest o If there are more than one cardholder who reach same eligible condition spend on their credit cards, the winner will be determined by the card where the total spending is highest during that week. o A week is defined from Monday to Sunday (Vietnam standard time GMT +7 on HSBC Vietnam system) Week 1 From 15/12/2015 - to 20/12/2015 Week 2 From 21/12/2015 - to 27/12/2015 Week 3 From 28/12/2015 - to 03/01/2016 Week 4 From 04/01/2016 - to 10/01/2016 Week 5 From 11/01/2016 - to 17/01/2016 Week 6 From 18/01/2016 - to 24/01/2016 Week 7 From 25/01/2016 - to 31/01/2016 Week 8 From 01/02/2016 - to 07/02/2016 d. Eligible total spend of each Week of a Cardholder is calculated by summing his/her transaction value amounts of eligible purchase transactions of that Week. HSBC will base the information of transaction date and posted date as recorded by HSBC s system and shown on credit card statements of cardholders ( Transaction Date and Post Date respectively). An eligible purchase transaction of each Week must have the Transaction Date within the time frame of that Week and have the Post Date no later than 7 February 2016 e. Transactions that have been completed during the Promotion Period but not recorded by HSBC s system by 7 February 2016 will not be eligible irrespective of whether cardholders receive the SMS notification messages about the transaction completion f. Eligible purchase transactions do not include credit card activation and cash advance transactions, including but not limited to cash advance transactions at counters, ATMs or POS and other cash advance transactions, HSBC fee-related transactions and monthly instalment repayments and gambling-related transactions. g. Eligible transactions must be made by Primary and Supplementary cardholders (if any), and be authentic for individual and allowed by Vietnamese Law h. Each qualified cardholder can receive one prize only during the promotion period irrespective of the fact that he/she may be qualified of different Weeks. 4.4. Other Terms: a. The qualified cardholders details will be announced on HSBC s public website. If customers have questions relating to the process or results of the promotion, they must inform HSBC within 7 days of the results being published on HSBC s website. b. Cardholders may check their purchase transaction status via Internet Banking or calling HSBC s Contact Centre. c. Any transaction deemed to be suspicious or ineligible based on transaction time, location or other factors will be deducted from the total eligible purchase amount. HSBC reserves the right to request customers to provide the financial invoice to prove that the transaction is eligible. In case the customer fails to prove that the transaction is eligible, HSBC reserves the right to either deduct the transaction from the total value of eligible purchase transactions, or discount all transactions during the Promotion Period. d. Any disputed, cancelled and/or reversed transaction amount which is recorded in the cardholder s credit card statement during the Promotion period will be deducted from the total eligible spend. e. If after a qualified Cardholder receives their reward, and their eligible purchase transactions are cancelled or reversed, HSBC reserves the right to deduct the value of the reward from the Primary Cardholder s Credit Card account. f. Time and place to receive the reward: Qualified cardholders must visit HSBC to receive their rewards from 01/03/2016. Qualified cardholders are required to present the original copy of their Identification Card or Passport and their Credit Card for verification by The Bank at one of the following HSBC outlets: Ho Chi Minh City Branch: Ground Floor, The Metropolitan Building, 235 Dong Khoi Street, District 1, Ho Chi Minh City. Hanoi Branch: Ground Floor, The Pacific Place, 83B Ly Thuong Kiet Street, Hoan Kiem District, Hanoi City. g. Qualified cardholders that reject or have not collected their rewards by 31/03/2016 will forfeit their prizes. h. HSBC accepts no liability for undelivered notices due to errors in contact emails, addresses and/or phone numbers provided by Cardholders and/or notification letters being lost, stolen or damaged during the delivery i. The reward offered cannot be replaced with any other products or exchanged for cash. j. If the qualified cardholder authorises another person to collect their prize, the authorised person must present the original copy of his/her identification card or passport, the certified copy of the qualified cardholder s identification/passport and an authorisation letter certified by the local authority. k. Credit cardholders who are late paying any bank fees, do not pay the minimum payment due as shown on their statements or are delinquent on any of their products with HSBC at the time of the Promotion result announcement will be disqualified. 5. Further information and queries a. Customers can visit any HSBC branch or transaction office or contact HSBC s hot line (84 8) 37 247 247 (South Vietnam) or (84 4) 62 707 707 (North Vietnam) for further details of the Promotion. b. HSBC is responsible for announcing the Terms and Conditions of this Promotion and the information of the qualified cardholders (including full name, the last four digits of their primary credit card and the last four digits of their identification card/passport registered with HSBC) at HSBC s public website (www.hsbc.com.vn) without prior notice or customer consent. 6. General terms a. Qualified cardholders will bear all costs incurred from the receipt of the promotion prize (if any). b. With the qualified cardholders consent, the Bank will pay the ad hoc Personal Income Tax for the prize value on behalf of each qualified cardholder as stipulated by law; customers are not required to reimburse this tax amount to HSBC. c. By participating in this promotion, customers accept that HSBC reserves the right to publish or display the name and picture of the customers in announcements and advertisements in newspapers and other media without paying any fees to the customer. d. HSBC is responsible for the accuracy of the documents and supporting documents proving that the prizes have been delivered. HSBC is not the supplier of the items used as Prizes in the Promotion Campaign. Therefore, after collecting their prize(s), qualified cardholders must contact the supplier of the items directly if they have any inquiries or problems related to the use of the items. HSBC is not responsible for responding to inquiries and problems. e. The decisions of HSBC on all matters relating to Promotions, including the result of qualified cardholders are final, conclusive and binding. f. These Terms & Conditions are subject to change at any time. In case of any dispute arising from the Campaign, HSBC s decision shall be final, unless otherwise stated by law. g. These Terms & Conditions are made in both English and Vietnamese. In case of any discrepancy or inconsistency between the English version and Vietnamese version, the Vietnamese version shall prevail.
