2015 KU-Vet Med Special Summer Exchange Programs for NCTU Students Program 1: Workshop on Reptiles and Exotic Animals Learning Center
Supervisor Program details Minimum number of admission. Activity periods and place Asst. Prof. Khampee Pattanatanang, D.V.M. M.PHM. Reptiles and Exotic Animals Learning Center will provide a hand on workshop for students to familiar reptiles and exotic animals in variety aspects, such as; - Type of reptile and exotic animals - Understand reptile and exotic animals Morphology, characteristic, behavior, adaptation, genetics and mutation, origin of species and evolution. - Habitat preparation for each type of reptile and exotic animals at different climates - Restraint and handling each type of reptile and exotic animals - Sanitation and health program for reptile and exotic animals - Three D printing and staffing reptile and exotic animals - Hand on kinds of vivaria preparation to nearly natural environment - Project on designing program for Living museum tour in Chinese language and infographic displays - Project on Beyond Adventure and Scavenger games. Admission in Group of 5 students. The minimum enrollment of 5 students is required for the program to be operated. The maximum enrollment is two groups of 5 students in each group. Application for admission must be confirmed by May 29, 2015, to make sure an accommodation room is available. Three weeks and three days activity starting from 29 June - 20 July, 2015. Exchange program fee Student requirements Language Transportation Certificate of attendant Ayutthaya province. 20,000 THB/person (Accommodation, foods and living expense are not included in the program fee.) - Accommodation rate at AMPO residence rate at 37,000-42,000 THB/month which it can be resided by four - five persons. American breakfast is included in this rate. - The AMPO residence is fully furnished with breakfast room, cafeteria, sauna, fitness room and swimming pool. - Students take responsibility on their own lunch and dinner, and their living expenses. Approximately rate for food is 50-80 THB/meal. - The AMPO residence and the Real Zoo Thailand are located in the same building, so there is no required for transportation. - Student must enroll as a full-time NCTU student. - Students must have his/her health Insurance which covering in Thailand. - Exchange students are required to be able to communicate in English. English is a communicating language. Pick up Schedule; The KU-Vet. Med. will provide 2 shuttles pick-up and drop off service at Suwannabhumi Airport to the Real Zoo Thailand at Phra Nakhon Si Ayutthaya province for free of charge, but for special arrangement, students have to pay 700 Baht per trip. For a certificate of completion will be awarded by the Faculty of Veterinary Medicine and the Real Zoo Thailand.

Addition three days program for students who like to gain experiences in creative Thai rice farming system (Fee is required) Date: 27-29 June 2015. - The Faculty of Veterinary Medicine will provide a one day tour at the KU Vet Med Animal Teaching Hospital at Bangkhen campus, especially at the exotic animal clinic. - One day sightseeing at the Grand Palace and the National Museum in Bangkok. Admission fee and local transportation is a responsibility of NCTU students. - Either Vet students or KUGENENG graduate students will escort NCTU students to Bangkok shopping Malls, such as, the Terminal 21, the EmQuartier, the Central World, or the AsiaTiques. - Three days accommodation, visiting and sightseeing in Bangkok is an optional program. - Exchange students will take care their own cost of living and accommodation. Accommodation rate at hotel near campus is 1,000-1,500 THB/night. Please contact: Asst.
