Law, Politics & Sociology Departments Law, Politics and Sociology International students: 359 Main markets: Canada, Chinese, Nigeria The School offers a range of extra-curricular activities, for example legal competitions, internships and trips abroad enabling students to develop specific skills essential in employment. In the 2014 Research Excellence Framework Politics is ranked in top five UK institutions for research output, in Law 64% of the research is rated as world leading or internationally excellent and for Sociology 100% of the research case studies are assessed as having outstanding or very considerable impacts in terms of their reach and significance 90% of LPS graduates were in work or further study six months after graduation (HESA 2013/14).

History, Art and Philosophy Departments History, Art History, Philosophy and American Studies International students: 41 Main markets: USA, China, South Korea In the 2014 Research Excellence Framework (REF), History is ranked 1st in the UK for the quality of its research outputs and 15 th overall. American Studies contributed to the rankings of History and those of English (ranked 9 th in the UK). American Studies at Sussex is ranked 4th in the UK in the Complete University Guide 2016 and 5th in the UK in The Guardian University Guide 2015. Our graduates are exceptionally employable: six months after graduation, 85% of American Studies graduates, 90% of Art History graduates and 95% of History and Philosophy graduates are in work or further study (DHLE Survey 2013).

Education and Social Work Departments Education and Social Work International students: 8 Main markets: China, Singapore, Australia The success of our School is reflected in our impressive rankings: Social Work at Sussex is ranked 1 st in the UK in The Guardian University Guide 2015, and within the top 10 in the UK in The Times and Sunday Times Good University Guide 2015 Our lecturers are known for the quality of their world-leading research on issues in education, childhood, youth, social work and social care, which they draw upon to inform their teaching. In the Research Excellence Framework (2014), 98 per cent of our Social Work research, and 97 per cent of our Education research was rated as being recognised internationally or higher Many of our courses incorporate placement opportunities with local employers (statutory and non-statutory social welfare agencies, schools, colleges and academies), and our graduates look forward to very good employment prospects: 89% in work or further study six months after graduation (DHLE 2013)

Brighton and Sussex Medical School Collaboration International students: maximum of 9 Main markets: all over the world! Approximately 135 students each year for BM BS degree course. Students spend their first two years primarily on the universities' campuses at Falmer focus shifts to the associated teaching hospitals and community settings in Brighton and the surrounding area with purpose-built teaching facilities in all areas. Curriculum emphasises early clinical involvement, a broad range of experience and a firm foundation in basic science. A wide range of teaching and learning approaches as appropriate for the particular circumstances; we are not committed to a single method of delivery. Feedback from the National Student Survey has demonstrated an exceptionally high level of student satisfaction, with BSMS students consistently returning overall satisfaction rates above 95%.
