Join us for HealthMATCH 2011 in! Bringing together communities and clinicians to explore practice opportunities. Enclosed is the Community Registration/Information Form for HealthMATCH 2011 scheduled for March 31, 2011 at the Texas Tech University Health Sciences Center, Paul L. Foster School of Medicine in for TTUHSC residents, medical students, and nursing students. The purpose of HealthMATCH is to provide West Texas communities and residents and student clinicians at Texas Tech University Health Sciences Center a forum to interact and discuss practice opportunities. Through the many contacts made between communities needing providers and residents and student clinicians looking for a practice location several relationships have formed. This is a great opportunity to talk with residents, medical students and nursing students about your community, your hospital/clinic, group practice and the need you may have for specific doctors and nurses. At this time, there are approximately 197 residents in the following specialties: 45 in Internal Medicine, 15 in OB/GYN, 40 in Pediatrics, 24 in Family Medicine, 29 in Emergency Medicine, 13 in Psychiatry, 9 in Radiology, 18 in Surgery, and 4 Transitional who have been invited to participate in HealthMATCH 2011. There will be 175 medical students invited as well that have not decided on a specialty. These students would be ideal candidates for your future needs a few years down the road. Furthermore, 66 nursing students have been asked to participate. If you would like to participate, please complete the enclosed Community Registration/ Information Form and return it to: Borderland AHEC, Marci Brooks Daniels, TTUHSC, 5001 El Paso Dr., Archer Building, Rm 11H02, El Paso, TX 79905, or you may email the information to marci.daniels@ttuhsc.edu by March 11, 2011. We will provide a manual containing brief information about each community to the residents, medical students, and nursing students who attend the event. Please refer to additional information attached for agenda, time of event and driving directions. There will be a community breakfast prior to the event followed by a brief welcome introducing the communities that are present.
