Hartsfield-Jackson Atlanta International Airport s 2008-09 Closed Projects (Posted 1/6/2009) FC-3007000038C: MISCELLANEOUS BUILT-UP ROOF AND SINGLE PLY ROOF REPAIRS AT H-JAIA Furnish all labor, equipment, materials, services and supervision necessary to complete the work outlined in these technical specifications and drawings for roof replacement/recovery at Hartsfield-Jackson Atlanta International Airport. Site Conditions: Examine the site and verify dimensions and conditions necessary for completion of the work. It shall be the roofing contractor s responsibility to determine the existing roof construction and condition for removal or repair. Existing conditions indicated in the specifications are for information only and represent only the specific location sampled. A. Provide all labor, materials equipment, cleanup, and incidental items, etc., required for performing repairs or replacement to the following roof areas at Hartsfield-Jackson Atlanta International Airport: 1. Eastern Credit Union/H-JAIA Fire Services Building: Removal of existing circular patches in designated location. Properly installing new single-ply membrane patches. Reseal exposed ductwork connections. Repair RTU curb flashing at damaged locations. Secure equipment access panels. Inspect rooftop for integrity of other membrane patches. 2. Fire Station 40: Remove single-ply membrane roofing in specified locations, install additional rigid insulation to improve drainage at crickets. Re-install membrane and flashing. 3. South Cargo Building A, B, and D: Removed single-ply membrane roofing in specified locations. Install additional rigid insulation to improve drainage. Re-install membrane and flashing. Remove parapet cap flashing, continue parapet base flashing over top of parapet re-install cap flashing. 4. Maintenance Building No. 1: Reconfigure roof drainage at main roof to drain directly by installing new scupper and downspout. Repair existing through-wall scupper and base flashing at specified location. 5. Dobbs House Maintenance Building: Remove roof drain in one specified location. Inspect sealing gasket, drain pipe connection and specified location. Inspect sealing gasket, drain pipe connection, and any other relevant items to determine location of leakage. Repair and re-install

drain. Remove all rooftop debris and abandoned equipment and repair any damage to built-up asphalt roofing membrane. 6. Fuel House for Concourses C & D: Removal and disposal of existing gravel surfaced built-up roof membrane, roof insulation to the original deck, and removal and disposal of base flashing around penetrations. Testing for asbestos in base flashing shall be conducted and if detected asbestos abatement shall be performed. Remove existing metal roof edge, gutter and damage or deteriorated nailers. Raise curb heights to achieve minimum, 8-inch above finished roof surface flashing height, raised roof mounted equipment to facilitate installations of flashing. Install new metal roof edge and gutter. Install new rigid roof insulation and new gravel surface coal tar guilt-up roof membrane. FC-3007000038E: Spill Containment Presentation Upgrade This project will provide containment for underground waste fuel/oil storage tanks and generator fuel tanks at 12 facilities on the Airport. Secondary containment will provide spill control for the refilling of all fuel tanks or the removal of contents from underground waste storage tanks. Each solution has been specifically designed for that location. FC-30070038C: C4 Enabling Project This project is to construct the new Airport Safety Command and Control Center. This Safety Command and Control Center will house the equipment, systems and personal necessary for normal and emergency airport operations. FCXXA98-999: City Fuel Farm Upgrade Phase II Co-Mingling Installation of piping and pump controls system upgrades to interconnect the City Fuel Farm. Also upgrade the City fuel Farm maintenance facility, emergency generator capacity, oil water separator, and waste oil tank to meet current code requirements. The New Maynard H. FC-XXA50-999 - Fire Station 32, 35 & 40. The scope of work for this project includes the renovation and expansion of Aircraft Rescue and Fire Fighting facilities. Fire Station 32 will include a new apparatus bay, conference room, offices, bunkroom area, and other support areas. Fire Station 35 will include expansion of kitchen, dining, day room, exercise room, new bunkroom, office area, conference room and other support areas. Fire Station 40 will include an expanded kitchen, new bunkroom, equipment storage room, and other support areas. Structural Testing & Special Inspections: One or more qualified special inspection firms will be employed to provide structural tests, special inspections and materials testing during construction of the Maynard Holbrook Jackson, Jr. International Terminal (MHJIT), Connector and APM tunnels, Parking Structures, elevated roads, and ancillary projects to satisfy Section 1704 of the International Building Code and project requirements. The summary scope of work includes the following:

1. Providing qualified staff to perform the designated inspection and tests; 2. Perform the application tests and inspections referenced in Sections 1704.3, 1704.4, and 1704.5, 1704.7, 1704.09, and with the exception of the Terminal caissons, 1704.10, 1704.11, 1704.12, and 1704.14; 3. Keep records of inspections and tests indicating conformance or discrepancies of the inspection with date, location, designer or record; 4. Furnish timely reports to Owner s representatives, Designers of Record, and Contractor/Construction Manager-at-Risk (CMR); and 5. Prepare a final report documenting required inspections and corrections of any deficiencies. 6. Materials testing of earthwork, concrete, and paving. Additional tests may be assigned. The New Maynard H. Jackson International Terminal Sheeting & Shoring Bid Package #3 The New International terminal is approximately 1,100.000 SF with a pedestrian connector, train extension, roadways and a five level parking deck. The Concourse E Sheeting and Shoring Project is an enabling project for the Automated People Mover extension from Concourse E toward the MHJIT. The work consists of selective demolition of floor slabs and other concrete elements, a temporary earth retention system, excavation, a support and bracing system, and construction of concrete walls, beams, and floors at concourse E. H-JAIA Architectural and Engineering Design Services Procure additional Architectural and Engineering Design Services to support architectural requirements for Year 2008 and beyond. FC-XXA67-999 Concourse E Cosmetic Upgrades Concourse E is now over 10 years old and is in need of a cosmetic face lift. This project will replace carpet, wall covering, ceiling tile and repaint throughout. Existing millwork and seating will be updated; the millwork will be relocated next to the loading bridge door and outfitted with new LCD panels for departure information.

Closeout Audit for Runway 10-28 Professional Services: The scope of this project is to have the City of Atlanta s Department of Aviation Internal Audit Office partner with an external construction auditing firm to coordinate and conduct a Final Closeout Audit of Runway 10-28 Element at Hartsfield-Jackson Atlanta International Airport. The recipient of this work will be required to verify that the projects completed in fulfillment of the R/W 10-28 element were done in accordance with H-JDP 09 Project Management Manual (PMM) 9-3.3, Project Closeout Process.
