Biobase/biovalue goals Biobase has the strategic goal to strengthen AU s postion with respect to strong international and national collaborations in line with BioValue goals. Horizon 2020 Biorefining (BIC), agricultural waste,.. GUDP EUDP INNO+ HTF.. 3 February 2014 DCA 5

Pilot plant for extraction of protein from green biomasses

Pilot plant - Design phase In the Autumn 2014 some critical process parameters will be studied and optimised in lab: effect of maceration effect of water addition protein precipitation Yields Protein content vs content of ANF Visit at other pilot plants and equipment suppliers Design fixed in the end on 2014

Pilot plant Equipments The pilot plant is expected to comprise the following equipment: Feed storage tanks Wet mill (maceration) Buffer tanks Separator (decanting centrifuge) Direct steam injection ph adjustment Product containers

Pilot plant Procurement and installation Procurement and contracts will take place in January and February 2015 Site preparation March April 2015 Installation in May 2015 Running in June 2015 The pilot plant is funded by DKK 2 millions from the High Quality Protein Green Protein project under the AU Biobase programme
