empower You can... With empower you can: Monitor and control your thermostat settings from anywhere. Make sure doors are locked, even when far from home, or unlock a door remotely. Create automatic light schedules that can deter intruders and save energy. Set up energy efficient thermostat schedules that interact with the security system and can help reduce energy bills. Get real-time notifications when a specific door lock is accessed or a thermostat setting is changed.

How empower Works The Alarm.com (ADC) GSM Module with empower: Tightly integrated with the security control panel (it s typically placed inside the panel, so you don t see it!) Communicates wirelessly to empower compatible devices at the property using the Z-Wave protocol Transmits security, activity and empower event data to the Alarm.com Platform Operations Center through a dedicated, wireless GSM connection Receives status requests and remote commands from dealers and customers using the Alarm.com website and mobile apps
A Day in the Life with empower 6AM You wake up in the dark, and turn the lights on from bed using your cell phone. 7AM You leave for work, arming your security system to Away mode, which automatically sets your thermostat to a more energy efficient temperature and turns off all of your lights. 1PM You remotely unlock your front door from work, 20 miles away, to let the dog-walker inside. He forgot his key! 2PM You get a text message when your dog-walker leaves and are happy to see that he remembered to lock the door. 3PM You had a stellar quarter so your boss lets you off from work early! As you walk out of the office, you set your home thermostat from your phone (overriding your thermostat schedules) so it s cool by time you get home. 4PM You get home to a cool house and take the dog for a jog. 5PM You let yourself back inside using your secure, personal lock code. You never have to carry your keys! Fast Forward. 11PM You get in bed, go to Alarm.com on your mobile phone to make sure the doors are locked, arm your security system to Stay mode, turn off all the lights and check your thermostat setting.
