What made you decide to apply for a teaching position at Summer Dreamers this year? 21. Written Response Question #1 (For applicants who HAVE worked at Summer Dreamers in the past.) What made you decide to apply to return to Summer Dreamers as a teacher in 2015? 22. Written Response Question #2 This question is for all applicants.

BACKGROUND: All classrooms at Summer Dreamers contain at least two adults. Academic teachers coordinate classroom instruction with a camp coordinator, to effectively meet the needs of all campers. Activity teachers collaborate with staff from our contracted activities organizations to develop classroom management techniques, integrate strong pedagogical practices, and ensure that daily activities are instructionally sound and appropriate for the campers being served. QUESTION: Describe a time that you partnered with another adult in the classroom. What did you do to ensure that the partnership was successful? What challenges did you face? How did you maximize each of your skills to create the best outcomes for students? 23. Written Response Question #3 This question is for all applicants. BACKGROUND: As you know, building rapport and getting to know the personalities and instructional needs of your students is essential to establishing strong classroom management and delivering effective lessons. This can be difficult at Summer Dreamers, when you have a very short amount of time to get to know your students, and only 27 days to make an impact on their learning. QUESTION: How would you approach this challenge? 24. OPTIONAL Resume Upload You now have the opportunity to upload your resume. This is NOT a application component. The selection committee may consult your resume, in conjunction with your responses to the application questions, when determining which grade level and/or subject area placement is most appropriate given your background.
