Managing the RAMP Settings To gain access to RAMP s services, you must authenticate the app with a Site Name, Source ID, and Key ID. The Site Name and Source ID are both provided by RAMP. These fields are used by RAMP s services to identify and categorize the incoming media assets. These fields are accessed in the RAMP Settings. 1. On the SharePoint RAMP app main page, click the List tab in the Ribbon. 2. In the Settings section of the tab, click the RAMP Settings button. 3. In the Customer screen, enter your Site Name and Source ID. 4. Generate a Key ID. 5. Click Save. 4
Managing the Speech-to-Text (STX) 1 Models Speech has a number of Speech-to-Text models used to automatically create a transcript for an uploaded video. In the Settings section of the tab, click the RAMP Settings button. 3. At the bottom of the Customer screen, click the Edit Allowed STXs link. The list will also automatically update if RAMP adds any STX models to their model list. If Select Specific Models is selected, you can choose which STX models you want available for transcribing your videos. The list will not automatically update if RAMP adds any STX models to their model list. 1 Speech-to-Text (STX) - The transcription of spoken words into text by a computer. Accuracy of the RAMP speechto-text service is dependent on many factors, including speaker clarity, audio signal quality, level of background noise, subject matter, and others. In practice, clear, high-quality audio processed by RAMP can achieve speech-totext accuracy rates in the 90% range and higher as measured using Word Error Rate (WER), but be advised that your results may vary. RAMP provides managed services for deploying optimized speech-to-text models, as well as editorial services for creating closed caption quality transcripts. For more information on these services, please contact RAMP at support@ramp.com. 5
Managing the RAMP List The main screen for the RAMP app is where you can manage all of your videos on your SharePoint site. It is the central location for adding, changing, or deleting videos. When you first add the app, there are no videos in your video list. Uploading a Single Video You can immediately add videos into the RAMP app once it is added to your site. After a video is uploaded, it goes through a short processing period and is then available for viewing and sharing. To add a single item to the Videos list in the RAMP app: 1. Click the new item link above the sort and search fields. 2. In the New Item screen, you can either drag and drop a video onto the page (as seen below) or click the Select button and navigate to your video. It begins automatically uploading once dropped onto the page or selected. 3. As your video uploads, fill in the video information fields. A check mark next to the video name will indicate when your video has been uploaded. 4. Click the Save button. The video then enters a short processing period where it undergoes the STX transcription. It then becomes available to use anywhere on your SharePoint site. If you gave it the Public permission, you can then share it outside of your SharePoint site as well. Uploading Multiple Videos In addition to single video upload, the RAMP app provides an intuitive user interface to upload multiple video assets simultaneously. The Bulk Upload process will automatically extract the Metadata in the video asset and populate the respective fields. To add multiple items to the Videos list in the RAMP app: 1. Click the Items tab in the Ribbon. 2. Click the Upload Multiple button in the New section. 3. In the Multiple New Items screen, you can either drag and drop videos onto the page or click the Select button and navigate to your videos. The videos begin automatically uploading once dropped onto the page or selected. 7
Modifying or Creating RAMP List Views When you add videos to the RAMP app, the RAMP List automatically comes with two views: Thumbnails and All Items. You can customize either of these views or create your own view to keep track of your videos. To access the View editor, click the three dot icon located to the left of the search bar above the video list. You must be in the list view you want to edit to modify it. To create a new view: 1. A save this view icon will appear next to the search bar; click it and name the view for quick access to sorted content. 8

Click Save before leaving the page to apply any changes. 11
Sharing Videos RAMP for SharePoint Online provides the option to share videos through a few different options.
