Wildlife movie photographer, script writer, narrator, presenter for a wide variety of wildlife spectaculars for world wide television distribution. Initially the company specialized in detailed educational films but then expanded and produced several network specials in the USA, contributed to various National Geographic Specials and won two Emmy Awards In total produced and filmed material for about 50 major wildlife documentaries across the world. Pioneered new techniques of film recording (awarded a Kodak Prize) and won numerous international awards for animal documentaries 1981-1992 Moved to the USA and become President of own wildlife film company, John Paling & Co. Ltd. Produced 7 films (4 for The National Geographic Society) including: 1986 Produced and appeared in the National Geographic Society TV Special Realm of the Alligator, winner of 2 National Emmy Awards. 1987 Co-produced/hosted pilot for a TV series titled Outdoors with John Paling for Georgia Public Television.
