Wireless Presentation-Screen Mirroring Receiver Saville Airshare is a wireless presentation and screen mirroring receiver for computer and mobile devices. It connects laptops, notebook, ultrabooks or mobile devices like ipad, iphones, Android tablets or Smartphones to any projector or LCD/Plasma display for presenting high quality presentations. It is compatible with Windows, Mac OS, ios and Android OS. With its unique Plug-and-Show token, split screen Collaboration mode, Conference Control mode, free Mobile Apps and Remote Control-desktop feature, Saville Airshare is an integral part of any conference room, meeting room, training or classroom. Hardware Mounting Saville Airshare can be placed horizontally on any flat stable surface like a shelf or counter top. The unit can be mounted behind a wall mounted flat panel display using the provided bracket, alternatively Velcro or adhesive tape can be used, but it is recommended to use cable ties as well. Display Connection Connect the HDMI output of the unit into the HDMI input of a flat screen display, projector or to an input of an AV switcher. The default output is HDMI, however the unit can be connected to a VGA-XGA display via the HD-15 VGA connector after reconfiguring the system via the admin webpage. When using the analogue VGA connector, connect the 3.5mm audio output to the display speakers or mixer/amplifier input. Network Connection / AP Client mode Connect a network cable from a switch or router to the RJ-45 connector to access an existing wired network via Ethernet. The unit can be used on an existing wireless network by configuring the AP Client mode settings for SSID and encryption key via the web admin page. By default, internal access point Airshare is active at power on and it can be used for connection the device. This enables the unit to be used wirelessly, without the need to be connected to an existing network. Screen Mirroring via computers There are three methods of connecting to the display through Airshare from any computer with Windows or Mac OS: Connect N Show: Ideal for routine users.install the WiD App on the computer and launch the App. Click N Show: Mirror/project screen with a single click via a direct connection to a specified Airshare device/display after installing the WiD App and creating an association file. Plug N Show: Ideal for vsitors or guests without the need to install the App. The WiD App can be run from the provided PNS Token (USB disk) or a designated network location.

App Installation Depending on your network connection, access the Saville Airshare via the wireless or wired network in the facility. Open up a web browser on your device and type in the web-address shown on the display/ projector. (Omit the http:// www.) From the webpage of the unit, click the Download button next to the relevant OS of the connected computer. Run or Save the WiD.exe for Windows OS or WiD.pkg file for Mac OS. If downloaded files are saved, then open the location and double-click to install. Make sure the computer s firewall or Smartscreen filter will allow the WID app to pass through and then complete the installation by following on screen instructions. After installing the program, a WiD shortcut will be placed on desktop. OPERATION: Client App & User Interface Click the WiD shortcut icon on the desktop. Alternatively locate the WiD App from the program list or search window via the Start button on Windows OS. On Mac OS, locate the WiD app on desktop or in the dock. If not present, use finder to locate the program in the Application list. A new window / UI box labeled as Current Server will appear on screen. When WiD UI box appears on screen, click Manual button first. Enter Devicename or IP address seen on bottom of Projector/Display screen along with 4-digit login code seen on top right corner. The following settings are allowed to be modified using administration web page by entering IP address of the Saville Airshare device in any standard web browser and selecting the admin menu. The default admin login password is Admin&11. The admin webpage can be accessed via the Option menu button of the User interface. Troubleshooting Saville Airshare is easy to operate, however if you are receiving error messages or connection problems please see below: A) The quality of the image is not sharp. If connected wirelessly, check that the signal strength is Excellent or Good. This is verified by moving the cursor over the Wireless Network Connection icon in the lower right-hand corner of the system tray. You may be too far from the Wireless Receiver or there may be a object or wall obstructing the radio waves. Click on Menu button on WID utility and select Better Quality instead of Normal. B) The displayed image appears to be cropped. If the displayed image appears to be cropped, change the resolution of the transmitting PC in order to avoid this. The display resolution can be changed/verified by right-clicking on the desktop and selecting properties. From the Settings tab the resolution can be changed/ verified. C) The image or video displayed is slow. The quality of transmission depends largely upon the transmitting PCs CPU performance. Avoid running multiple applications simultaneously while streaming to maximize the CPUs performance. If streaming wirelessly, check that the signal strength is Excellent or Good see A) above. Saville Airshare plays full motion video from a web browser, YouTube or Windows Media Player or QuickTime in Speedy mode, so make sure to activate this by clicking on the Video option menu button in the User interface.

WiD Application and Firewall There are three types of firewall that could stop the WiD application from playing video in Video Playback mode or the computer screen in Presentation mode: Network Equipment Firewall Computer Operating System Firewall Third-party software based firewall 1. Network equipment Firewall Please open the below ports which the WiD application requires to operate correctly. Inbound: UDP 1047, 1048, 1049 TCP:1041 Outbound: TCP 443, 389, 3286, 80, 21, 515 2. Windows Firewall Please check the firewall in Control Panel->Windows Firewall If Firewall is OFF then there would not be problem in Video Playback. If Firewall is ON then click on Exception tab. Check the exceptions, to see if there is WiD present in the list. If present then put a check-mark in front of it. When WiD App is run from computer or provided Plug N Show Token (USB-stick) is installed the firewall exception is added and selected automatically unless there are group network policies preventing that. If WiD.exe is not present in the exception list, press the Add Program button to add it to the list and follow instructions. 3. Software Firewall If any software based third-party firewall like Zonealarm, Norton Systemworks, Norton 360, CA Internet Security Suite or McAfee Firewall, then please follow that software developer s documentation about adding programs to a safe list or adding exceptions to the firewall rules.

2. Software Firewall If any software based third-party firewall like Zonealarm, Norton Systemworks, Norton 360, CA Internet Security Suite or McAfee Firewall, then please follow that software developer s documentation about adding programs to a safe list or adding exceptions to the firewall rules.
