Since the graduation thesis which was proposing a series of educational short films employing motion graphics for disseminating Geometry he investigates the area in which communication relates to contents and contexts referring to science, education, cultural heritage. The doctoral work has been focused on the progressive expansion of graphic design field of action toward the cinematic practices. The thesis Languages of Animation: tools for visual communication between innovation and continuity explores the animated medium through historic, theoretical and technical perspectives, proposing several cross-disciplinary models and conceptual in order to frame the motion design also at a disciplinary level. The postgraduate program has been integrated with several on-field and teaching activities carried by the AnimazioneDesign Lab / University of Sassari which also has been focusing on the moving animated image since its foundation in 2007. Among them particular attention as been putted on specialized courses about animation production techniques, methodologies and experimental approaches, often involving renowned international academic figures and professionals. The ongoing researching continues to investigate the employment of animation and moving image based devices in communicating degrees of complexity, such as scientific technological contents.
