The external facades were modeled after actual buildings in Venice. The complex comprises more than 350 shops of premium retail set in elegant streetscapes reminiscent of Venice, with canals and gondolas, as well as over 100 000 m 2 of convention, exhibition and meeting facilities, over 30 world-class restaurants, and a 15 000 seat Venetian Arena that can be configured to hold events of any type. Above the casino and the shopping arcade, resides a 32 storey tower with 3 000 suite hotel rooms.

The resort will be complemented with a conference center, several restaurants, a children's center, a lobby lounge, a rooftop executive club, as well as a small exclusive casino, a show theatre/lounge, a casino restaurant. Apart from a integrated retail concourse, this resort also offers a large seascape themed outdoor pool and a luxurious spa on the upper level. Additionally, Parcel 2 also features a serviced apartments' tower with 600 service suites with its own amenities such as a club, restaurant and bar and offer direct connection to the health club, retail concourse & car parking.

The complex is designed with a single connected Podium with a Basement Level, Lower Ground Level, Ground Casino Level, two levels of Retail and a Congress level with a Pool Deck. Above the Podium, two distinct towers will rise separately. The podium and towers will be designed with two independent themes of: Shangri-La, Lost Horizon and Tropical and Polynesian. The Tropical Gardens located within the boundaries of Parcels 5 and 6, are consistent with the theme of this development. This area will provide more than 45,000 m 2 of landscape amenity, accessible to the public 24 hours a day.

Dr. Sun Yat Sen and adjacent to the Macau Cultural Centre to the South and the Mandarin Oriental Hotel to the East. The Building A has a foot print of 17 354m 2 and a gross floor area of 92 456m 2. The building consists basically of a block with 3 interlinked bodies, two off which are perpendicular to each other, with a cylindrical volume situated at the point of their confluence, with a further section incorporating gaming halls, bars restaurants, a theatre, a hair saloon, a health club, parking, a small garden and technical services. This section also contains the 51 Hotel Suites, located on the 4 th 9 th Floors of the cylindrical section of the building, and most of the facilities required for a 5-star Deluxe hotel.
Las Vegas Sands (Phase 2), Macau 2005/ 2007 CLIENT The Venetian Macau PROVISION OF SERVICES Professional Consultancy Works Supervision PROJECT Status: Completed Contractor: Ever Apex Site Area (m 2 ): 26 082 Construction Area (m 2 ): 44 000 Construction Cost (Million MOP$): 1 600 The 2 nd phase of the Sands Complex, constructed on the South Western side of the Sands, consists of a Podium, integrally linked with the 1 st phase building, made up of ground floor and 6 other floors above ground level and an 18 floor Hotel Tower located above the podium. The Podium (Building B1) houses the hotel lobby, gaming floors, a banquet hall, a landscaped deck with a heated swimming pool, changing rooms, conference/meeting room and kitchen befitting a 5-star Deluxe, technical services and other supporting facilities. The hotel tower s (Building B2) height is approximately 127m above sea level, sitting directly above the new podium extension, with 17 floors containing all the 238 hotel guestrooms.
