A virtual centre Norcowe is a virtual centre Working on strategy and solutions for easy cooperation between partners Common initiative in terms of an Infrastructure application to the Research Council between NORCOWE and SUCCESS: DIRECT - Distributed Research Collaboration Technology (CMR) (Mike Herbert, Mike.Herbert@ConocoPhillips.com, 10/05/2004) Slide 11 / 27-Apr-09 Timeline April Internal workshop between research partners (15-16 April) First meeting in the Interim Board First meeting with the industrial partners Circulation of first draft Consortium agreements May/June Settle research activities / innovation projects Initiate dialogue with NOWITEC and CEDREN at scientific level (WP leaders) Follow-up new potential project cooperations (RENERGI deadline 3/9) Contract negotiations Target: Signing of contracts before Summer August/September Official/formal opening of the centre Workshop / seminar with the NOWITEC and CEDREN centres Slide 12 / 27-Apr-09 6
Workshop objectives Social gathering to stimulate interaction between partners Discussion of scientific objectives and research activities Stimulate cooperation between partners (not isolated projects at each partner) Particularly important to work out short term goals/activities Provide WP leaders with overview and basis for further coordination of the WP's internally, to support discussions with industrial partners and with Nowitec / Cedren Initiate process/work to identify equipment needs - provide input to WP leaders (4,5 MNOK tentatively available in 2009 budget) Start brainstorming on common subjects relevant for new applications to the Research Council RENERGI programme with deadline on the 3rd of September Joint applications may also very well be submitted with Nowitec and Cedren Slide 13 / 27-Apr-09 7
