Objectives of the Course: 1. Fundamentals of Cyber Law 2. To familiarize students with the dynamics of Cyber Law with a focus on new forms of cyber crime, 3. To establish a basic knowledge on the technical side of Cyber Law, 4. To give an update of recent Cyber Laws developments and case law, 5. To engage with today s Cyber Laws reality and debates, 6. To provide tools for further study of Cyber Law Teaching Learning Methodology: Teaching Learning methodology includes case analysis, assignments, presentations, projectwriting, lectures, discussions, experts from academia, industry and law enforcement agencies with the objective of fostering necessary abilities in students to handle real-time cyber-crime challenges. 1

Medium of Instruction: Medium of instruction shall be English. Admission Procedure: Candidates shall be admitted to the course on the basis of their past academic record. Eligibility: Candidates having Bachelor s degree in any disciplines from a recognized University or a qualification declared by the University as equivalent to it and recognized as such. Student Intake: Approximately 100 candidates may seek admission in the P.G. Diploma in Cyber Law (Distance Learning). Seats Distribution: All Reservations for various categories as per the rules of the NLIU apply. In case application of some other reservation has to be brought in force and likewise seats have to be adjusted, it may then be incorporated. Duration: P.G. Diploma in Cyber Law (Distance Learning) is spreaded over two semesters. Each semester will have three courses. Cost of application form is Rs. 500/- to be paid in cash or through DD of any nationalized bank drawn in favour of Director, National Law Institute University, Bhopal, payable at Bhopal. The students shall be required to obtain minimum 50 % marks in each Paper to pass and 55% in aggregate to be entitled for the diploma. In case a student fails or fails to appear in the Examination, he will be given only two chances to appear in the Repeat Examination. Evaluation Scheme for each paper: Written Exam (Subjective Type) : 80 marks.
