Virtual machine environments can over-share resources across VM instances, affecting the responsiveness of CPU-, RAM- and disk-intensive applications like RealPresence Media Manager. The following Virtualization platform has been identified as compatible, but because performance is heavily influenced by actual deployment configurations, each environment must be reviewed and certified by professional services after installation. You need an existing support contract with your virtualization provider and or the ability to resolve issues that are unique to virtualized environments. The use of management systems to govern and report against virtual hosts is highly recommended. Open Source virtualization platforms and non-affiliated internet based third-party cloud providers are not supported without validation and written authorization from Polycom Global Support Services.
