R&D:Advanced LED know-how and partnership with LED-component suppliers We possess a long and wide experience of led based products. The first LED products were designed and started to manufacture in the early 90 s. We work in close co-operation with Hella global R&D network on daily basis in order to further enrich our competence and give/get support when ever needed. We have close relationship with leading LED manufacturers to keep us on the pulse of time. 14
R&D: Sophisticated Optical Design integrated with thermo management, electronics and mechanical design The cornerstone and beginning point of all the projects we start is advanced optical design. Optical design defines the quidelines for product development. Our product development team has years of experience designing complicated lighting products. We use professional designing programs like Catia V4/V5, Helios, Ansys, etc. With our own extensive laboratory we are capable of verifying the concept ideas and products smooth and efficiently 15
R&D: Innovative and fast productization We use Hella standardized project management system on all projects (automotive and non automotive). This ensures systematic documentation and working method. Team work is axiomatic for us as a small company. D&D, process planning and production work in seamless co-operation on projects. Before lauch of new product to the production specific Run@Rate procedure will be carried out to ensure production readiness Quality will be built into the product 16
Production methods: Injection moulding Injection moulding is the key technology of our production process, which enables us to be flexible and ready for quick changes. We are assuring the best service level on our existing machines and investing into the latest technology. 17
Production methods: Metallizing In order to fullfil the legal requirements regarding the light values, we have implemented the latest technology metallizing equipments into our production process. 18
Production methods: Assembly In our world class production we are using Lean as a stategic principle. In continuous development projects we are using Lean methods, like Standard Work, Kaizen and employees are participating when ever the changes effect their work. 19
