Covers data warehousing, methods of analyzing large databases, including Bayesian belief networks and machine learning in health care context. Features semester long data integration group project. Students learn to: Understand and use XML technology for data integration Store health data in XML format Understand sources of data conflicts Write XSD schema to verify the data Identify methods of integrating ODBC databases with legacy data. Write XSL transformations to transform data from a structure to another structure Learn methods of analysis of large databases, including Bayesian belief networks and machine learning in the health care context.
