Step.4 Connect the power cable of PCI card and mounting the PCI card on by the provided screws. (See Picture D-4) Picture D-4 Step.5 Mount sideboard back to the SATA enclosure(see Picture D-5) and then tighten the screw. - 8 -
Picture D-5 Step.6 Connect SATA data cables between PCI card and SATA Enclosure. Make sure SATA Port 0 to SATA Port 0, 1 to 1, 2 to 2, 3-3, 4-4, etc. Note: PCI-SUH and PCI-SUFH cards support 4 HDDs only, so SATA Enclosure will reserve one port when connecting PCI-S/UH and/or PCI-S/UFH card. (See Picture D-6) - 9 -

[Software Installation] System requirement: PCI-S/ESR Support Windows 2000/xp, Windows NT, WinXP_2003 64bit PCI-S/UH, S/UFH Support Windows 98SE/ME/2000/XP, Mac 9.0 & higher PCI-S/ESR card, which is arranged in pairs with Silicon lmage 3124/3132 esata card, supports RAID0, 1, 1+0, 5 function. Here is an example of RAID 1+0 configuration to show - 10 -
how to build RAID configuration. Please make sure the ESATA card which you use is Silicon lmage 3124 or 3132. Then, update the BIOS and driver. Afterward, install the GUI RAID program. As following pictures, Steps for building Raid 0(Mirror Strip) 1. Click SATA Raid5 Manager - 11 -
2.Go to SATA Raid5 Manager Window. - 12 -
3.Select RAID Group \ Create RAID Group. - 13 -
4.Go to Create RAID Group window. - 14 -
5.Chose the RAID configuration type you want from the Configuration section menu. - 15 -
6.For example, To Build RAID0+1(Mirrored Striped),please see following steps. Select Max in the Capacity column. Select 128KB in the Chunk Size section. - 16 -
7.Select 4 HDDs for building Raid0+1configuration(*When you build the Raid with 4 HDDs). Click on Create. - 17 -
8. See the following menu that RAID 0+1 configuration is completed. Close the window. - 18 -
9. In the disk management, we can find the status of the total HDD size after RAID0 built. - 19 -
10. Them, start to format the hard disks. - 20 -
Ⅳ. [PCI-S/UHF Win98se Driver Installation] We need to prepare some files in Win2000 and Win98se CD. Windows 2000 Professional ( Use Microsoft MSDN Disc 0013.1 / April 2002 ): 1. USBSTOR.sys C:\WINNT\system32\driver\ 2. USBSTOR.inf & USBSTOR.PNF C:\WINNT\inf\ Windows 98 Second Edition install CD ( Use Microsoft MSDN Disc 2397 / October 2003 ): 1. NTMAP.sys D:\ENGLISH\WIN98SE\BASE5.CAB 2. NTMAP.inf D:\ENGLISH\WIN98SE\PRECOPY2.CAB 3. NTMAP.cat D:\ENGLISH\WIN98SE\CATALOG3.CAB 4. NTMAPHLP.PDR - 21 -
D:\ENGLISH\WIN98SE\BASE5.CAB Then, copy these files to the new folder under OS Win98se (e.g. C:\Win98se_USB_driver). When the USB cable is plugged in the PC, the system will show a message that the system finds the USB Mass Storage Device. Select the recommended mode. - 22 -
Select the Specify a location : and key-in the location (e.g. C:\Win98se_USB_driver). - 23 -
Install success from the new driver to the system. - 24 -
Then, the system will detect the new hard disk through U92X serial product board. The system will detect the USB device is 1394/USB Disk in the Device Manager, and will show that it needs the NTMAP.INF to install the driver in the system. - 25 -
Install success from the new driver to system. - 26 -
In the Device Manager, we can find the new hard disk in the Disk drives And also can find 1394/USB Disk in the Storage device, USB Mass Storage Device in the Universal Serial Bus controllers - 27 -
In the Registry Editor. We can find the new storage information in the location as below: My Computer\HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Enum\USBSTO R\ e.g. Hard disk model name is WD800JD-60LUA0 ( SATA II 80G ) - 28 -
