General K-Link Overview K-Link is a dynamic, cloud-based user interface that is a one-stop shop for vendors allowing entry into the Kohl s ecosystem. Overview What is K-Link? Streamlined tool for vendors to enter attribution and upload images, allowing for quick omnichannel item set-up Directly approve or reject copy attributes with the vendor, eliminating back & forth emails Full visibility to company workflow, due dates & timelines Efficient communication between vendor & Kohl s All Users Who will be required to use K-Link? K-Link will required to be used by all vendors, for all National, Private and Exclusive Brands regardless the business category. This includes: New York Brands, Milwaukee Brands, Drop Ship Vendors, VMI Vendors, National Vendors Vendor Managed Inventory (VMI) Will K-Link impact the VMI (Vendor Managed Inventory) PO process? The K-Link process will not change VMI. The only difference is that attributes will need to be complete before Kohl's can accept the PO into our system. 2

Attribution How is the item set up process initiated in K-Link? The initial item set will be owned by Kohl's K-Link specialists. Kohl's will assign due dates for both attributes and images. Vendors will be notified via K-Link of these due dates. Vendors are required to go into K-Link to complete item attributes and upload images/indicate samples sent. Do the attributes need to be submitted to both the merchant team and into K-Link? Is there a mass upload process where K-link can take all attributes from a spreadsheet and load them into the system automatically? Attributes will only need to be submitted in K-Link. There is a version of this currently in K-Link. The vendor can export the attributes from K-Link, and fill them out via Excel, and then re-upload them into K-Link. General Process Is the attribute process in K-Link only for online items? How long would it take for attributes to be approved or rejected? How are attributes exported from K-Link? Correct, the attribute process is for product that will be put on kohls.com. If the item is store only product and will never go online, attributes will not be required. The Best Practice time frame will be 2 business days for attribution approval. The user will choose the items to export, and then select "export attributes". This will download a CSV formatted excel file. Once this is filled out, the file can be saved. Then the user can select the "import attributes" button and browse for the file to import into K-Link. Can attributes be filled out before UPCs are loaded? Styles will not be set up in K-Link until after UPCs have been loaded. The best practice will be to complete attribution once styles have been set up in K-Link. Please work with your buying office in the case of rush orders. Is there an average number of days given to have attributes and imaging completed? Due dates are determined by your buying office. Please work closely with them to determine timelines/due dates for the entire process. Will we only be uploading attributes for new items? Existing items will not need to be re-attributed through K-Link, however if item maintenance is required, the item will need to be submitted through K-Link. Also if attributes were never initially provided for a style that needs to be set up, the style will be set up in K-Link and attributes will be required. What are attributes? Attributes that are required for vendors to complete are customer facing product descriptions. Vendors may reference their current copy excel spreadsheet. What is the copy excel spreadsheet for attributes? Today Kohl's receives the customer facing attributes for Kohls.com through an excel sheet known as the "copy excel spreadsheet". This form is typically sent over to the vendor by the merchandise specialist. Once vendors are onboarded, all attribution will be required in K-Link and the copy excel spreadsheets will no longer be accepted. Attributes Can you please specify what attributes need to be provided in K-Link? Will the attributes be specific by department/category? Will attributes come from a pre-determined drop down menu or will they be free text? The attributes that you will be asked to complete in K-Link are similar to the attributes on the copy spreadsheets you are completing today. You can reference these copy spreadsheets to help prepare. Attributes will be customized by a Specific Product value which will be selected by the vendor user. The Specific Product values will be populated off of department. They will be both free text and drop down What is the difference between the save and finish buttons? "Save" will save the attributes on the specific page you are working on. "Finish" will prompt you to save the entire style. If you click "finish" without completing all required attributes, an error message will appear prompting you to select required fields in red. You can save your work and come back to finish later. All attribution must be complete before submitting. Attribute Maintenance Is there a character max limit on the attributes? Are mandatory attributes noted in K-Link? How can items be maintenanced if they are grouped together? (ex if sizes are grouped together but will have different product dimensions) How are attributes maintenanced once a PO is created or attributes are submitted in K-Link? Yes, there are some character limitations. All attributes will be required to be filled in. Each style number will have its own set of attributes. If you have multiple sizes or colors for one style number, the most common attributes that have multiple values (i.e. dimensions, fabrications) are free text fields for more information to be added. You can also mass edit multiple styles together. If attributes need to be updated/edit after they have been submitted, you will want to work with your specialist and item production to correct these attributes. How do new attribute categories get added into K-Link? The buying office will send a request form to get category added. Notification Ownership Who on the vendor side will receive email communication regarding attributes and images? Does the vendor receive another email when all attributes have been approved in order to follow up on the PO? Once the item set up has begun in K-link, can all members of a team with access to K-link have access to uploading images/attributes for each style? Do private label vendors complete attribution within K- Link? All K-Link users associated with your company will be able to receive emails. Email preferences can be adjusted in a user's preferences. Under preferences, a user is able to turn off e-mail notifications regarding item attributes or image upload. Yes, you will receive an email once attributes have been approved. Anyone on the vendor side will be able to upload images/attributes. Yes, after vendors have been onboarded, all attributes for the item will be completed within K- Link. How does the Kohl's Digital team know whether attributes are correct when approving them? Can specialists change anything if they see something incorrect? The Digital Team has been trained on customer facing attributes and are experts on creating product pages for Kohl's. Rejected Attributes If attributes are rejected upon submission and extend past 5 day window vendors are given to complete attributes, would we be able to bypass in order ensure delivery? No. For National Brands, systematically approved attributes are required to the release a purchase order. The vendor will need to address the rejected attributes promptly, correct them and resubmit for Item Production to review. 3

Direct Ship What does DSN stand for? DSN = Direct Ship Network; Many times people refer to the standardized template for Direct Ship fulfilled product as the DSN template/spreadsheet General Process How does K-Link apply to Drop Ship/Direct Ship Vendors? What is the process for Direct Ship Vendors? Will the process prior to attribution and image upload change or will DSNs still be sent to the buying teams? How do Direct Ship Vendors get orders? All vendors, including Drop Ship/Direct Ship Vendors, will be required to go into K-Link and complete the attribution and image upload/sample process. The Direct Ship Template (DSN) will still be used to upload Direct Ship styles into K-Link. The process will be the same for Direct Ship vendors, you will continue to use a DSN template as you do today. Instead of completing the attributes on the DSN template, vendors will do this in K-Link. Vendors will receive emails advising once they can load inventory, and will also have the ability to download sku level information for merchant groups. The process will not change. The vendor will still submit the DSN form to the buying office for approval. Vendors will no longer need to submit copy attribution spreadsheets along with the DSN. Direct ship vendors will continue to receive orders as they do today. Is the item set-up process the same for dropship teams as owned inventory? Yes, the item set-up and attribute process will be the same. Commerce Hub Currently we set up skus on Commerce Hub, does it change with K-Link? What if we only have Commerce Hub PO's? Will we still be able to use these POs for registration? K-Link is for Kohl s resources and attribution/image upload. CommerceHub is for Direct Ship inventory and order management. The two applications are separate functions. K-Link will not impact CommerceHub processes. The Commerce Hub POs will be able to be used for registration. Will Direct Ship Vendors still use the excel DSN assortment template? Yes, Direct Ship vendors will still use the excel DSN. There will be an updated version of the DSN that is compatible with K-Link. The copy tab will no longer need to be filled out in the DSN Template. Instead the copy attributes will be completed in K-Link by the Vendor. The new DSN template will be providing during your onboarding week if your buying office has not already passed this over. The DSN Template should then be sent to the buying office to finalize the assortment. DSN Template Do I still need to submit the DSN template to my buying office? Yes, all DSN templates still need to be sent to your buyer/assistant buyer to review and finalize the assortment. Do we have to resubmit DSNs that have been previously submitted? Once onboarded, all go forward styles should be completed in the new DSN template. You will not have to resubmit previously sent DSNs. Currently Kohl's send us back Kohl's sku's for DSN once approved. Will this process continue? Yes, you will receive an email from K-Link with the SKUs for your DSN. Images Will Direct Ship Vendors submit their own images or do we continue using the specified photographer? All vendors are encouraged to provide vendor supplied photography. Kohl's has specific requirements for photography shoots (must be professional lighting, camera, etc) and style guidelines. All of these requirements can be found on Kohl's Connection currently and will also be available on K-Link after launch. Style Number Will Kohl's still assign their own style number? Will I be able to obtain these numbers in K-Link to use to send inventory? Kohl's will still be setting up the style numbers as they do today. Vendors will have visibility to the style numbers that Kohl's uses and will be able to download sku level information from merchant groups. You will also be receiving an email to alert you once you are able to load inventory for specific styles. Registration Will Direct Ship vendors need to register for K-Link? If you have a personal account (not shared) with Kohl's Connection, you will be prompted to reset your password when registering for K-Link. If you currently have a shared Kohl's Connection account, each user will need to set-up their own account and separate log ins. UPC Catalog We do not currently use the UPC catalog as a direct ship vendor. Are we now being required to add this to our process? Partner with your buying team and vendor services for nuances in the process regarding UPCs. 4

Item Set-Up / Maintenance General Does K-Link save our attributes? How long does it take for a product to go live after the process has been completed? What is the Merchant Group Name? Yes, all attributes will stay in K-Link. When styles go live on the site will be dependent a number of different factors such as: product launch date, attribute completion, images/samples received, inventory available etc. As K-Link continues to evolve and processes become more efficient, the timeframe from which styles will go live on the site will improve. Merchant Group names will be identified by the buying office. This will be used to name the group of styles that are being set-up. The group name will contain the dept number and vendor name and any other unique identifier of the styles included (ie program name). Item Set Up Communication Will we still go through our buyers and send excel sheets? Or will it be done through K-Link? Item setup communication will be done like it is today. It will still be communicated via a Buy Sheet or a DSN. The K-Link Specialist will set up the items in K-Link and send the styles to the vendors to complete the attribute and image upload/sample process. Will items that currently live on site need to be moved over to K-Link? Existing SKUs already set up in our systems do not need to pull into K-Link. If a SKU needs maintenance the merchandise specialist will pull it into K-Link and the vendor will need to complete attributes. Current Style/SKUs What if I need to make an update to an attribute to styles that are already live on the site? Will we need to resubmit attribution for existing styles? What if I have a reorder of product? What will happen to previous styles that were not loaded into K-Link? Will we still be doing the "old way" with attributes and images? If attributes for a style/sku need to be updated, please reach out to your K-Link Specialist and Item Production partners to make these updates. Potential future enhancements are on the roadmap for updates to be made within K-Link. If attributions have already been submitted to Kohl's, you will not have to resubmit unless updates are needed. Until your designated K-Link on-boarding week, please continue to use the legacy process for item set up. However, you may be asked to provide item attributes through K-Link at a later date so that you can upload images into K-Link. If we have items that are only sold in stores, will data that was setup prior to K-Link be transferred over to K-link? If product is store only, attributes will not be required in K-Link. If store only product were to transition to be online, attribution would need to be completed. How will color and sizes adds for existing product be handled? K-Link Specialists will be able to add colors and sizes to existing products. If the style numbers are exactly the same, vendors will not need to re-attribute the item but they will need to upload images for the new color, or send samples for the new color. If the style number is new, the vendor will have to attribute the new style numbers in K-Link and upload images or send samples. Style/SKU Add During the onboarding period, if we need to add new skus, should we continue to work as per existing way of working with buyers on email and excel sheets? Until Vendors are onboarded into K-Link they will still need to provide copy spreadsheets as they are today. Please work with your buying office on what assortments you will be working in the "legacy" process or via K-Link during the transition process. In the event there this is a color-addition to an existing style already active online, how will vendors/merchants be able to indicate the Web ID to combine into so products are grouped together online? This will be managed within K-Link by adding the color to the desired web ID. This will be part of the training that specialists will receive on Item Maintenance. Selling Channel Can a vendor indicate if the item is for store DC, EFC and/or Direct Ship? This step is completed in the item set-up process which is handled by K-Link Specialist. The vendor will not be completing this information. 5

Images / Samples How are images submitted? All images will be submitted under a merchant group. There is a tab in each merchant group for images or samples. Once images are uploaded, there is a "submit" button in the bottom right-hand corner. How much lead time is required for Kohl's photography team to create the images? This process has not changed. The same timeline is required, 10-12 weeks prior to ship. General - Process Is the image upload optional? Is a CAD sufficient for reference? If we are not currently providing Kohl's with Images, will it become a requirement moving forward? Images are required to sell products online. Images cannot be CADs. If you currently provide samples to Kohl's today, you will continue to do so. The vendor will indicate in K-Link that a sample will be sent to the buying office. If you currently provide samples to Kohl's today, you can continue to do so. The vendor will indicate in K-Link that a sample will be sent to the buying office. Are images due when buys are due? If attributes forms have already been supplied, does that mean I only need to upload photos in K-Link? Can a PO be generated if attributes are completed but images have not yet been submitted? Images and attributes may be due on separate timelines. When the K-Link Specialist creates the merchant group, they will assign separate due dates for attributes and images. Reference these due dates to know when images/samples will be required. There will likely be a bit of a transition period as we onboard vendors into K-Link. If an item was set up in K-Link, the attribution will need to be done in K-Link and the image will need to be uploaded in K-Link. If an item was not set up in K-Link, images will either be submitted through drop box until you have been onboarded into K-Link or the style will be set-up in K- Link for images to be submitted. Images are not systematically required to be completed prior to the release of a PO. Where can we find updated image requirement and naming guideline documents? Specific Image requirements will not change. You will be able to access image upload requirements via K-Link. You can always reach out to your buying office for this information as well. Image Requirements Will any image requirements change with K-Link? (ie required background) How does the image team know what image should be the "hero" ( main) image? All image requirements will stay the same. Please reference image requirements located under the image upload tab. There is a link to our image requirements on the image upload tab with in each merchant group. You can add underscore "hero" or "main" after the style number to indicate to our item production team for which image to use. Is a color required in the naming convention? Is there a minimum amount of images required? Vendor Color is not needed in the naming convention for the image to upload. The new naming convention only requires the image to be named the vendor style number. Each business area has photography guidelines specific to their area. Photography guidelines will remain the same in each area. Image Updates What If an item or image needs to be updated? What is the time frame to re-upload anything that was rejected? If an item or image needs to be updated, work with your specialist and item production partners to make these updates. All image due dates will remain the same. If images were rejected your original due date will not change. You will need to promptly re upload qualifying images and re-submit. Videos Can videos be uploaded into K-Link? At this time videos cannot be uploaded into K-Link. Videos will need to be sent through the same process as today. This is on the roadmap for future enhancements. 6

K-Link Registration / Onboarding Will each user be required to have their own log in? All vendor users will be required to register in K-Link for their own individual account. Shared account access will no longer be available for security reasons. Vendors will also be prompted to change their password every 90 days. Account If we currently have multiple people sharing an account in Kohls Connection, how do I gain access to K-Link? How can we ensure all of our users get a register email from Octa for K-Link? Can there be multiple users for a given vendor in K-Link? If you are currently sharing a log in, all users will be required to set-up their own account for K-Link. Communication will be sent in out regarding how to register beginning June 11th. However, every user will be required to have their own logins. Will all vendor users have access to all available content in K-Link? Do the log-ins have "security-based" limitations? All vendor users will have access to all content in K-Link, regardless if they are part of logistics or the sales team. Admin Rights Multiple Vendors What PO number do you use to register? What if I do not have a vendor number or do not know my vendor number? Will the Admin for K-Link be the same as Kohl's Connection? Is there a limit to the number of users per vendor who can receive admin rights? If I represent multiple vendors, how do I gain access to all of our vendors within K-Link? You can use any approved PO number for your company. All Kohl's vendors have a vendor number. Please reach out to your buying office for assistance if you do not know your vendor number. At the time of launch, all sales account reps will be provided with admin rights. It will be up to each vendor to determine who should have admin rights and will be responsible for setting up admin rights for the necessary individual(s). Buying team has 2 days to validate buy plan assortment K-Link Specialist has 3 days to set up the styles in K-Link Vendor has 5 days to complete attributes in K-Link Item Production has 2 days to review and approve styles At this time a Purchase Order may be created and EDI'd. Will the buysheet still be sent from the buying office to the vendor? Yes, you will continue to work your merchant partners to receive buy plans. Once buy plans have been finalized they will be set-up by the K-Link Specialist within Kohl's. Vendors will then receive a notification that styles have been set-up and attributes can be completed. When will we transition to this new process for our new orders? How much faster will styles go live? Vendor onboarding will be phased between June to September. The first buys that are put through will be dependent upon your specific vendor onboarding date and at what point you are at in the buy cycle at your onboarding date. For questions on your specific onboarding week you can reach out to your merchant partners. From there you can determine where you are in your current order-writing timelines. When styles go live on the site will be dependent a number of different factors such as: product launch date, attribute completion, images/samples received, inventory available etc. As K-Link continues to evolve and processes become more efficient, the timeframe from which styles will go live on the site will improve. The buyers will follow the same process that they follow today in regards to buy sheet finalization. It will be important that all internal set-up attributes are completely and accurately filled out prior to the K-Link specialist setting up the styles in K-Link. Can UPCs be loaded before styles are finalized? Vendors can upload UPCs in the catalog before styles are finalized. However it is still the responsibility of the buying office to validate and finalize the assortment. The buying office will indicate which styles should be set-up. Styles that are not being bought by Kohl's will not be set-up. Will Kohl's still provide the style name to us to then go in and upload the UPC? Rush Orders Can this timeline be shortened? (ie chase orders, one off situations) How does this timeline impact hot market chase businesses? K-Link is real time and the timeline can be shortened as long as all partners (merchants, vendors, item production are aligned). If the vendor has attributes ready, they are able to submit attributes in one day. Attributes will still be required for national brands in order for a style to be written on a Purchase Order. Work closely with your Merchant Partners to ensure attributes and images are received promptly. For new hot market chase items there will be a process in place for quick turn-around. Vendors will work with their Merchant partners and Item Production for these specific situations. Selling Channel Is this process for online only product only or for stores too? I work with different product categories and have different buyer contacts per category. Will this still be necessary using K-link? All item set-up, regardless of selling channel, will be set-up in K-Link. However, Kohl's will only require attributes for online product. If it is store only product attributes are not required in K-Link. The vendor will not be prompted to complete this step in the process. The buying offices will still manage their current categories today. All of your Buyer/AB/Planner/Analyst contacts will still remain the same. If you are currently working with multiple offices today, you will continue to do so in the future. 10

UPCs What is the UPC catalog? (Also referred to as Open Text (GXS) or Intertrade.) Intertrade / Global Item Setup Catalog (AKA GSX Catalog) is a Catalog in the retail industry that houses product data in a synchronized application. It allows marketers, manufacturers and suppliers to share with retailers their latest product information. We use this Catalog for vendor data such as color, size, and UPC's to initiate the style set up process in K-link Define / Purpose Is the Open Text Catalog separate from K-Link? Yes, Open Text is separate from K-Link. It is a third-party UPC Catalog service. UPC's will be loaded into the Open Text (GXS) or Intetrade catalogues in order to set up styles in K-Link. Will Open Text Catalog (GSX) still be required after K-Link launches? Yes, the Vendor UPC Catalog will still be required. Kohl's uses Intertrade and GXS/Open Text Please explain the need for the GXS catalogue when K-Link is available? The GXS catalog is how Kohl's gets access to the Vendor UPC's. The Kohls K-Link Specialist will pull the UPCs from the GXS catalog to complete the item set-up process. What attributes will feed over from the UPC Catalog to K- Link? Currently, Kohls is pulling over 5 attributes: UPC, NRF Size, NRF Code, Vendor Color, and Description. There will potentially be a future enhancement to pull in the GS1 Extended Attributes. More to come. Will vendors still be able to use our own UPC's for items? Yes, vendors will continue to be able to use their own UPCs for items. Does the process differ for Drop Ship Vendors? For Direct Ship vendors, please also continue to provide your UPC's on the DSN as well. Currently our analysts pull our UPC's and load them for us. Will this change? UPC's will need to be loaded into the GXS or Intetrtrade catalog similar to how they are being loaded today. If someone on your team is completing this today, they will continue to do so going forward. Process As a Book Vendor, we utilize a 13-digit ISBN #s instead of UPCs. Will the system recognize this? If you are currently providing ISBN #s instead of UPC numbers, the system will continue to recognize and accept this. This process will not change. Does the UPC process follow the same guidelines for Import orders? For Private Brand that utilizes Vendor UPC's, they will continue to need to upload UPC's to the catalog. For Import Private Brand that ONLY uses an Internal Kohl's UPC, they will not be required to enter Vendor UPC's into a catalogue. Do Items that are online only need to have UPCs loaded into the UPC Catalog? Regardless of selling channel, UPC's do need to be uploaded into the UPC Catalog. If UPC's are created ahead of time before buy plans are Potentially, yes. It will vary per buying office. If the Kohl's buying office is in starting the set up passed, would we be able to save some time in between the process before a buy plan is passed or approved, they will work that out with each vendor time that the buy plan is passed and PO created? accordingly. How do we set up a UPC without the style number provided by the buying team? The buying process will remain the same as today in regards to buy plan finalization. The buying offices will pass off completed buys to the K-Link Specialists, and those buy plans will contain the Style Number that Kohls will be using in K-Link. If the buying offices are currently sending the style numbers to their vendor partners, they will continue to do so. Is Open Text / GXS related to K-Link? We are in the process of entering our attributes for new items into Open Text. Open Text is not related to K-Link, however, K-Link will still be utilizing calls to the Open Text/GXS Catalog. In the future, there will also be the capability to leverage Extended Attributes that vendors upload into the UPC Catalog. Extended Attributes Will there be double work needing to complete attributes in the UPC Catalogs and K-Link? At this time we are only asking vendors to provide style number, style description, color, sizes, and UPC's into the UPC catalog. This information will then feed directly into K-Link for item set-up. Additional/Extended attributes that you may be filling out in the UPC Catalog will not feed over to K-Link at this time. This is on the list for future enhancements. Does the filter in the UPC Catalogue called "BARE MINIMUM" contain all of the properties that are required for to create the items before putting in all the content into K- Link? The bare minimum attributes are not all of the attributes required to create a style.. Can you still enter multiple UPC codes for one item? Yes, this process will not change. Maintenance Will additional UPCs for an existing item be accepted? If an item is being carried over, and had previously been turned in, it will not need to go through K-Link. However if UPCs are being recycled from an old style number for a new style number, these can be re-used. The K-Link Specialist would delete the UPC from our systems in order to to re-use the UPC. Who determines what size run is needed for the UPC data? When does this get supplied and by whom? This is usually agreed upon between the Buying Office and the Vendor when finalizing the assortment. For EFC/DC product, this needs to be provided on the buy sheet, and UPC's need to be uploaded into the catalog before the sku's can be created in K-LInk. For Direct Ship product, this needs to be provided on the DSN and the UPCs need to be uploaded to the catalog before the sku's can be created in K-Link. How do I access the UPC catalog? Please contact vendor.services@kohls.com for additional information regarding the UPC catalog. They will be able to assist your team in getting set-up on the UPC catalog.
