How to Check System Requirements Use the procedures below to check whether your computers meet the minimum system requirements to run ChiroTouch software in your practice. System Properties The system properties page lists many of your computer's system specifications, such as your Windows edition, service pack, processor, and memory (RAM). To access the system properties page: If you have a My Computer icon on your desktop: 1. Right-click the My Computer icon. 2. Select "Properties". 3. Click the General tab to view basic information about your system. 3
If you do not have a My Computer icon on your desktop: 1. Click on the Start menu. 2. Right-click the My Computer icon. 3. Select "Properties". 4. Click the General tab to view basic information about your system. If you don't have an icon labeled My Computer, you most likely have Windows Vista, Windows 7, or Windows 8: Press the Windows key on your keyboard and simultaneously press the Pause/Break key. If you have a separate Pause key, press this key instead. This should bring up the System Properties. 4
Microsoft Office Version To check which version of Microsoft Office you have: 1. Open Microsoft Word. If you have a menu labeled "Help": 2. Click on the Help menu. 3. Select "About Microsoft Word". If you do not have a Help menu, but you have a icon: 2. Click. 3. Click. 4. Click Resources. The version will appear at the bottom of the Resources screen. 5. (Optional) Click the "About" button to view more detailed information. 5
If you have a blue or green File menu: 2. Click the File menu. 3. Click "Help", or, if you don't have a "Help", click "Account". Information about the program will appear to the right, including the version number. Hard Drive Capacity To check your hard drive capacity: 1. Open the My Computer or Computer folder. (If you aren't sure how to do this, see the section on System Properties and follow the first steps to navigate to the My Computer or Computer folder.) 6
2. The amount of free space out of the total hard drive capacity is listed below each hard drive under the section Hard Disk Drives. If you do not see the free space listed, you have an older version of Windows. Pause the cursor on the hard drive. The disk space information will appear. 3. (Optional) Right-click the drive and select "Properties" to view more detailed information. 7
