Introduction Get Ready to Sell and Earn Commissions! Purpose: General outline of the requirements and steps to complete annual online training, certification and contracting to be eligible to sell Coventry Advantra MA/MAPD Plans and Part D Prescription Drug products.
Steps to Take to Get Ready to Sell Complete your online Coventry contract package Must have valid license Coventry must complete a Background Check Coventry orders an Appointment for every state where you indicate you will sell Complete your online certification: Access the Coventry-AHIP certification site by logging in to the Broker Portal from www.coventry-medicare.com. Print your Agent Writing Number (AWN) ID Card: Agents may obtain their Coventry AWN ID card via the Broker Portal within two business days of completing certification and contracting requirements. Your AWN ID card indicates the 2013 Coventry products you are approved to sell.
Use of Access Codes is Required Your upline marketing organization or local Coventry health plan will provide you with an access code to register on Coventry s secure Broker Portal that you reach from our website at www.coventry-medicare.com. When you have completed registration on the portal, you will complete the following: Required online contracting documents AHIP and Coventry certification Note: For questions or assistance, contact your upline marketing organization. Agents who are contracted locally to sell Coventry Medicare Advantage Plans should contact their local health plan.
Coventry Training Supports Your Success Our members satisfaction is our top priority. Your partnership with Coventry is a commitment to making a difference for Medicare beneficiaries! Coventry-AHIP training assures that beneficiaries receive accurate, complete information to allow them to make fully informed decisions about their Medicare coverage options. You must complete the AHIP Medicare Marketing module and the Coventry Core module. You must also complete the Coventry product specific module(s) for the plan(s) that you wish to market and sell. The local health plans may contact you regarding additional training.
Training & Testing Requirements AHIP Medicare Marketing training and Coventry Core training have a testing component that require passing scores of 90% or higher for each module. Coventry s specific Advantra MA/MAPD modules and Part D module do not have a testing component. Agents are given three (3) attempts to pass the AHIP Medicare Marketing training and the Coventry Core module. When the test is completed, pass or fail is indicated. Agents who fail to pass the AHIP Medicare Marketing test in 3 attempts will be locked out. Agents are given the option to re-register (pay a new registration fee), review and re-take the AHIP Medicare Marketing Test. Any agent who passes the AHIP Medicare Marketing Training, but fails the Coventry Core Training within three attempts will be locked out and will not be eligible to market/sell or retest to market/sell Coventry product(s) for that benefit year.
To Complete Contracting From Coventry s Broker Portal home page, select Agent Contracting: NoMoreForms link. The link directs you to the nomoreforms website. Your upline marketing organization or local health plan will provide you with a package code. This code will be used to log in to nomoreforms and complete your Coventry contract.
Your Contract Package Includes Our online contracting process has been designed for maximum efficiency. Required contract documentation includes, but is not limited to, the following items: Hierarchy Transmittal Sheet (completed and submitted by your up-line) Contract Information Sheet Participating Agent Addendum W-9 Form Business Associate Addendum Master Agent Agreement Errors and Omissions Insurance (E&O should be attached) Electronic Funds Authorization Form (EFT) GA level and above must submit a Marketing Summary Sheet (included in your contract package)
Completing Contract Package Complete each of the documents. When all of the documents show a complete status, click on Submit. By clicking Submit, your upline marketing organization or local health plan will be notified that your Coventry contract is ready for review.
Review and Submission of Your Contract Package Your upline will review the submitted documents and complete the following steps: Attach the Hierarchy Transmittal Form. Submit the contracting package to Coventry Broker Services Department (BSD) for processing. Note: In the event any information is incomplete, a Receipt of Contract Missing Information letter will be emailed to you from the BSD.
Background and Appointment Upon receipt of your contract, Coventry Health Care will order the formal background investigation. The background check is not a credit report nor does it involve credit history or any financial scores. The background check will identify any felony or significant misdemeanor convictions. Your state Appointment(s) will be initiated at the same time. CMS requires valid state Appointments; Coventry is responsible for payment of Appointment fees. An Appointment will be initiated for each state the agent is requesting on the contract. All state licenses will be verified prior to initiating the Appointment process. An Appointment is required for each state in which you will sell Coventry Medicare products.
Ready to Sell Status Upon successful completion of the Coventry-AHIP training, and approval of all required contracting requirements, you will be Ready to Sell. You may print your Coventry Agent Writing Number (AWN) ID Card by selecting the link on the left navigation menu of the Broker Portal. Note: Availability of your AWN ID Card may take up to two business days from completion of these requirements. Your AWN ID card will indicate the Coventry products for which you are approved to sell. Once you are approved to sell you may order sales supplies via the Broker Portal. Note: In the event your contract is not approved, notification will be sent to you.
Commission Eligibility To be eligible for commissions, you must complete the following prior to marketing any Coventry Medicare products: Successfully complete all training and certification requirements Submit required Coventry contract documents Successfully pass a Background Check Have valid Appointment for Member resident state Have valid License for Member resident state Note: LOA agent requirements may differ; please contact your upline.
Payment of Commissions Reasons that commissions will be held include, but are not limited to, the following: Agent has an invalid or expired license Agent s contract is missing information. (For example: incomplete W-9 form or hierarchy sheet, unsigned contract addendum or background authorization form, etc.) Certification was not completed
