Important Points to Maximize Performance of Broker Arbitrage To maximize performance and profits of Broker Arbitrage it is important you follow all recommendations and steps. In terms of broker recommendations our brokers are carefully selected with low spreads and ECN execution. It is very important you select your risk carefully. You can use money management built into Broker Arbitrage. I personally love to use 20 for risk. But keep in mind this can be riskier and I don t recommend it. To be on the safe side I recommend a risk setting of at most 5. But of course you can use higher risk if you want to go for bigger gains. There are many settings you can tweak in the robot, but for best performance only adjust the risk setting. If you are a fan of back testing, it s not really quite possible, because this is arbitrage over two platforms, so please don t expect back testing to work. If you want to do effective testing, then please test on demo or use a small live account. For best performance I highly recommend using a VPS that is smooth and dedicated, with not many other platforms running if you can. By running it on a PC you risk connection issues, and computer processor issues if your computer isn t maintained properly. If you are constantly operating software on your PC while Broker Arbitrage is running it can have negative effects on the speed of operation, so please consider this. If you can I recommend checking to make sure Global Trade Station 2 and Meta Trader 4 are running proper at least 1 time a day. It s not urgent, but it s good practice in general. Keep in mind when using all pairs supported that the risk is for each pair alone.
Again, I mentioned this before, Global Trade Station 2 will need to be updated on your first install, it s easy just follow the simple steps. Also, your login details may expire in 20 days, simply create another demo account if that happens. From time to time I will recommend other brokers you can use with Broker Arbitrage; I will also e-mail you those details. Sometimes it s good practice to switch it or use more than one broker. This is a form of diversifying and can help keep you more profitable. I ll help guide you on this so no need to worry.
Let s Install Broker Arbitrage Within the ZIP file that you found this manual is the.exe installer. Double click the.exe to start the installer and the following image will appear: Click the Next button to continue. Read the terms, click I accept, then click Next. Make sure there is a check mark next to the Forex broker / MT4 you are using and uncheck the one s you are not. And then click Next.
Now click Next. And click Next again. Click Finish and now Meta Trader 4 will open.
This is what your Meta Trader 4 platform will look like On the toolbar on top, click Tools, and then click Options. The box above will show up. Then click Expert Advisors. Make sure all the check marks look the same as above.
You now will open up the 7 charts Broker Arbitrage will be trading on. Click File -> New Chart and select the pairs I will share with you in a moment. Each time you click a pair it will pop up in Meta Trader 4. Please do this step for each of the following pairs: AUDUSD, EURUSD, EURJPY, GBPUSD, NZDUSD, USDCHF, USDJPY There will be a tab for each currency pair on the bottom. You can click each tab to see the chart. Please click a tab, and then click M1 at the top. Do this for each pair.
On the left, look for the Navigator window, then click the plus sign next to the Expert Advisors box. It will become a negative sign and drop down a list. Locate Broker Arbitrage in the list. Now click on the name, and hold and drag it to each currency chart you opened up. (IMPORTANT: Activate your license before doing this step if you haven t done so yet) This box above will popup make sure the check marks match and then click Inputs.
Inputs is where you can adjust settings. All settings options are described below. I do NOT recommend changing anything. Default is fine, but if you want to adjust RiskManagement you can do so. I personally use 20 risk on my accounts, but keep in mind it can be riskier, but more profitable. So I recommend using a lower number such as 5. If you decide to change settings or simply use default settings, then do so, and then click OK. Do NOT click Load or Save. Just click OK and the robot will attach to the chart. You MUST do this for EACH currency pair. Click the tab for the pair and attach.
Here is a description of each setting Lot Size: If you don t want to use Risk Management and use Fixed Lots. Then set the Lot size you want for each trade here and set Risk Management to 0. Otherwise, this setting is ignored. Risk Management: This is money management. It is the risk you want and the robot will auto calculate lot size. When set to 0, Lot Size will be used instead. Max Orders: Max number of trades at a time per pair. Set this to 1 if you are using a U.S based broker. Slippage: The robot will attempt to avoid trading if slippage exceeds this amount. Max Attempts: If a trade fails this is the max number of tries it will attempt before giving up on that trade. Magic 1: This is a unique identifier for certain trades, no need to change it. Magic 2: This is a unique identifier for certain trades, no need to change it. Use Scheduler: If you want to control the specific hours traded, set this to true. Time is based on broker time and 24 hours. (Not recommended) Start Hour: This is the hour you want the system to turn on. Start Minutes: This is the minute you want the system to turn on. Start Seconds: This is the second you want the system to turn on. Stop Hour: This is the hour you want the system to turn off. Stop Minutes: This is the minute you want the system to turn off. Stop Seconds: This is the second you want the system to turn off. Show Price Lines: When true will lines on chart of where the system is scanning.
