Preface The Millennium Drive Installation Guide includes instructions for installing and configuring Millennium Drive to work with Abila Millennium. Verify that you have the most current version of this guide. The current version was published on 5/21/2015, and it is available for download at http://kb.abila.com. The following information is included in this guide: Considerations and steps to complete before you begin the installation Steps for installing Millennium Drive Configuring the IIS for Millennium Drive Oracle Data Provider for.net Starting Millennium Drive Documentation Resources System requirements Millennium Drive is installed on the same Web Server (IIS) computer as Abila Millennium. The system requirements for Millennium Drive will be the same as those for Abila Millennium except for the following: The Web Server (IIS) operating system must be either Windows Server 2012 R2 or Windows Server 2008 R2 (64-bit with IIS running in 32-bit mode).the Windows Server 2008 (32-bit only) with SP2 operating system does not meet the minimum operating system requirements for Millennium Drive. You must use a valid SSL certificate in order to access Millennium Drive. You can use the Wildcard certificate for your Abila Millennium web site (if you have one). We strongly recommend not using a self-signed certificate. Review the system requirements for Abila Millennium and Millennium Drive at http://www.abila.com/solutions/millennium.
Millennium Drive Installation Instructions Before You Begin 1. Identify, or obtain, a valid SSL certificate. We strongly recommend not using a self-signed certificate. 2. Install Abila Millennium 2015.1 and complete the steps to configure the Web Server (IIS) computer. See the Abila Millennium Installation Guide for instructions on installing Abila Millennium 2015.1 and configuring the Web Server (IIS) computer. This step is required before you install Millennium Drive! 3. If you are installing Drive on a different server from Millennium, verify the following additional requirements: a. Because Abila Millennium and Millennium Drive share resources, both servers must be on the same domain and have full access to one another. b. The Web Server (IIS) Role and ASP.Net must be installed on the Millennium Drive server. i. From the Start menu, follow the links to Control Panel > Programs and Features > Turn Windows Features on or off. ii. Under Roles Summary, Web Server (IIS) will be listed. Under Role Services, ASP.Net will be listed and the Status must be Installed. c. The self-extracting file Milldrive2015_1.exe must be copied to the server on which Millennium Drive is to be installed. Installing Millennium Drive Once all the preparatory steps in the previous section have been completed, use the following procedure to install Millennium Drive. 1. On the Web Server (IIS) computer on which Millennium Drive is to be installed, log on as a network administrator with administrative privileges on the computer and with full access to Abila Millennium and to the location where Millennium Drive will be installed. 2. Double-click Milldrive2015_1.exe to extract the installation program and supporting files. Enter the path and name of the directory into which the installation files are to be extracted, or accept the
default. Important! We recommend that you do not change the path or name of the directory into which the installation files are extracted. If you do, however, the directory path and name can not contain spaces; otherwise an Error during execution message will display when you begin to install Millennium Drive. 3. The installation program should start automatically. If it does not, browse to the directory into which the Abila Millennium installation files were extracted and click AutoRun.exe. 4. Copy the latest version of the Millennium Drive Users Guide into the inetpub/wwwroot/mill/help directory on the Web Server (IIS) computer. a. Click on the Documentation tab. b. Click Millennium Drive Users Guide to open MillenniumDriveUsersGuide.pdf. c. In Adobe Acrobat Pro, use File > Save As to save a copy of MillenniumDriveUsersGuide.pdf to the inetpub/wwwroot/mill/help directory on the Web Server (IIS) computer. Do not change the name of the guide! 5. Click on the Setup tab and click Install Millennium Drive. 6. The Welcome page opens. Click Next to continue. 7. On the Millennium Drive Web Site page: a. Enter the Host Name that you would like to use for Millennium Drive access or accept the default. Note: To access Millennium Drive by using this host name, you must have a corresponding entry in your network's DNS server. b. Select your database version. c. Click Next. 8. On the Database Server page: SQL a. In the Millennium protocol and domain URL box, type in the Abila Millennium protocol plus the domain URL.
Example: if your users access Abila Millennium by using https://millennium.com/mill/login.htm, then type in https://millennium.com. b. In the Millennium database server box, type in the name of the server (as identified in your network) where your Millennium production database is located. If you have multiple database instances on the same server, you will type in the <server name>\<instance name>. c. In the Database name box, Type in the name of the data database: milldata for example. d. Click Next. Oracle a. In the Millennium protocol and domain URL box, type in the Abila Millennium protocol plus the domain URL. Example: if your users access Abila Millennium by using https://millennium.com/mill/login.htm, then type in https://millennium.com. b. In the Oracle TNS Service Name box, enter the Net Service name for your Abila Millennium database. c. Click Next. 9. On the Destination Folder page, indicate the location where Millennium Drive will be installed. You can accept the default location or click Change to specify a different one. 10. On the Ready to Install the Program page, click Install to begin. 11. On the Completed page, click Finish to exit the wizard. Configuring the IIS for Millennium Drive Bind your valid SSL certificate to the Millennium Drive web site. 1. Access the IIS Manager by using Start > Control Panel > Administrative Tools > Internet Information Services (IIS) Manager. Run as administrator. 2. On the Connections pane, expand (if necessary) the name of the server. 3. Expand Sites, and click on MillenniumDrive. 4. In the Actions pane, click Bindings. 5. On the Site Bindings form, click Add.
6. In the Type list box, select https. Leave IP address set to All Unassigned, Set Port equal to 443. Note: If Port 443 is already in use, you can specify another value for Port, but do not use Port 80. 7. In the SSL certificate list box, select the name of your valid SSL certificate. 8. Click OK. 9. Use Table 1: IIS Server Security and Share Permissions for Millennium Drive to share directories and to grant directory share and security permissions. Note: The Directory column indicates the default location for Millennium Drive. If you installed it into a different location, then apply the information in this table to that location instead. Security Permissions Share Permissions \inetpub\millmgo\logs Yes Anonymous Access User (MillAppPool Identity) - Full Control Anonymous Access User (MillAppPool Identity) - Full Control Table 1: IIS Server Security and Share Permissions for Millennium Drive Creating an ODBC Instance Millennium Drive requires an ODBC connection to the Abila Millennium database. If Millennium Drive is installed on the same server as Abila Millennium, no action is required: an ODBC instance has already been established as part of the original installation process. Otherwise, use the following procedure to create one on the Millennium Drive server: 1. Go to the X:\Windows\SysWOW64 folder. 2. Double-click the odbcad32.exe application to open the ODBC wizard. 3. Go to the System DNS tag and click the Add button. 4. Create a new Web SQL instance with the same settings as the one on your Abila Millennium server. 5. Test your connection and reset IIS. Oracle Data Provider for.net Oracle sites must install the Oracle Data Provider for.net (ODP.NET). We have provided the necessary files from Oracle.
1. Browse to the location where the Millennium Drive installation files were extracted. 2. Open the 3rd Party folder and extract the zip file that corresponds to your version of Oracle: ODTwithODAC121012.zip or ODTwithODAC1120320_32bit.zip. 3. Follow Oracle's instructions for installing the ODP.NET. Starting Millennium Drive You must have an Abila Millennium user name and password. Your Abila Millennium user name must be linked to a constituent ID number. 1. To open Millennium Drive, open your web browser and type https:// plus the name of your Web Server into the address bar. Example: If the name of the Web Server is VAW518999, then type in https://vaw518999. 2. Type in your user name and password, and click Login. If SSL is not implemented, you will not be able to sign in. Obtain the user's guide by signing in to Abila Millennium and using Millennium Explorer, Help > Millennium Drive. FAQs - Within the Millennium Drive application, the Help link located in the header accesses frequently asked questions and concerns about Millennium Drive. Context-Sensitive Help - Within the Millennium Drive application, a Help button located on each page and form accesses information that relates to the page you are viewing or to the task that you are performing. Constituents Summary Administrator's Guide - The Millennium Drive Constituents view Summary page is a comprehensive view of a constituent. Information is pulled from multiple Abila Millennium data
sources to display on one page. Organizations can customize the data source details and layout for the Summary page to meet business needs. Customizing the Summary page is highly complex and it is classified as an advanced system or database administrator task.this guide contains the information that an administrator needs to start customizing the Summary page. Application Settings Administrator's Guide - provides details about the editable application and log settings in the Millennium Drive Web.config file. Abila recommends that you do not change the settings in the Web.config file unless you are advised to do so by Customer Support or unless you are customizing the data source details and layout for the Constituents Summary page.
