1 How to add your Weebly website to a TotalCloud hosted Server Creating your Weebly website: 1.) Go to weebly.com and create a free account. 2.) Build and design your personal website using the Weebly features. For more information in how to build your website check out the Weebly beginner s guide ( Note: Some Weebly features cannot be exported to TCDC. These include the multimedia slideshow, map, and blog component of website. Once you export your website from the Weebly servers these features will not work. 3.) 2 computer 1.) While viewing your website click on the Settings tab at the top of the page then select Archive/Un-publish. 2.) To archive and create a.zip archive of your site, select Create Archive. 3.) Type in the address you wish to send the.zip archive to. 4.) Open your and save the zip file to desktop familiar folder on your computer (or to the Desktop). 5.) Extract the website from the zip file by right clicking on the folder and selecting Extract All then save the new folder to your desktop. 4 Building a Static Website on IIS On the TotalCloud hosted server, install the IIS Web Server role 1. On the Start page, click the Server Manager tile, and then click OK. 2. In Server Manager, select Dashboard, and click Add roles and features. 3. In the Add Roles and Features Wizard, on the Before You Begin page, click Next. 4. On the Select Installation Type page, select Role-based or Feature-based Installation and click Next 5. On the Select Destination Server page, select Select a server from the server pool, select the name of your computer, and click Next. 6. On the Select Server Roles page, select Web Server (IIS), and then click Next. 7. On the Select Features page, notice the preselected features, and then click Next. 8. On the Web Server Role (IIS) page, click Next. 9. On the Select Role Services page, note the preselected role services, and then click Next. Note Install the IIS 8 default role services for a static-content web server. 10. On the Confirm Installation Selections page, confirm your selections, and then click Install. 11. On the Installation Progress page, confirm that your installation of the Web Server (IIS) role and required role services completed successfully, and then click Close. 12. To verify that IIS installed successfully, enter the following into a web browser: You see the default IIS Welcome page. 5 To add a website by using the UI 1. Open IIS Manager. 2. For Windows Server 2012, on the Start page click the Server Manager tile and then click OK. In the Server Manager, click the Tools menu, and then click Internet Information Services (IIS) Manager. 3. In the Connections pane, right-click the Sites node in the tree, and then click Add Website. 4. In the Add Website dialog box, enter a friendly name for your website in the Site name box. 6 5. If you want to select a different application pool than the one listed in the Application Pool box, click Select. In the Select Application Pool dialog box, select an application pool from the Application Pool list and then click OK. (*An application pool is a group of one or more URLs that are served by a worker process or set of worker processes. Any Web directory or virtual directory can be assigned to an application pool. Use multiple application pools when you want to help ensure that applications and Web sites are confidential and secure.) 6. In the Physical path box, enter the physical path of the website's folder, or click the browse button (...) to navigate the file system to find the folder. 7. Select the protocol for the website from the Type list. *HTTP is recommended. 8. If you must specify a static IP address for the website (by default, this is set to All Unassigned), enter the IP address in the IP address box. Depending on the configuration of the firewall connected to this server, the IP Address will either be the private address of the server (usually 10.X.X.X.) or a public IP Address. It is usually the same address configured in the Remote Desktop application to login to this server. 9. Enter a port number in the Port text box. 10. Optionally, enter a host header name for the website in the Host Name box. 11. If you do not have to make any changes to the site, and you want the website to be immediately available, select the Start Web site immediately check box. 12. Click OK. 7 13. On the IIS Manager under the Manage Website section under Actions, select Start. 14. If you receive this message, this means that you need to lower your security settings and add this site to the Trusted site zone. 9 To verify that your site is online and visible to the public: 1) View the site by clicking on the Physical Path file. Usually called index.html 2) View the site by clicking the links under Browse Website in the IIS console on the hosted server. 3) View the site by typing the IP-address into a web-browser on a desktop computer 4) View the site by typing the hostname ( into a web-browser on a desktop computer.
