Composed of tricalcium phosphate, the scaffold has a proven history of supporting new bone growth in a variety of clinical applications, while eliminating the morbidity associated with harvesting autologous bone. Packaged in the INFILTRATE Marrow Infusion Chamber, the TCP scaffold is easily mixed with bone marrow aspirate (BMA). The resultant composite provides added osteogenic capacity to aid in healing. 3 CELLULAR AFFINITY* Efficient bone regeneration requires a hospitable environment for stem cell migration and activity. CELLPLEX TCP Graft features a patented bioengineered pore structure that closely resembles cancellous bone. This interconnected matrix provides an ideal scaffolding for Mesenchymal Stem Cells (MSC s) to multiply and differentiate into bone forming cells. Mesenchymal Stem Cells (MSC s) adhering to CELLPLEX TCP matrix after 30 minutes incubation. After 4 hours incubation, the MSC s are beginning to flatten and fully adhere to the TCP substrate, and may indicate activation. After 3 days incubation with the CELLPLEX TCP Graft, MSC s continue to demonstrate intimate contact with the CELLPLEX TCP substrate.

4 PREPARATION TECHNIQUE - CELLPLEX TCP Marrow Infusion Proper surgical techniques are necessarily the responsibility of the medical professional. The following guidelines are furnished only as recommended techniques. Each surgeon must evaluate the appropriateness of the techniques based on his or her own medical training and expertise Marrow Infusion Technique STEP 1 Infuse CELLPLEX TCP Graft with Autologous Marrow B After marrow aspiration, connect syringe to the INFILTRATE Marrow Infusion Chamber (A). Invert syringe/chamber assembly and inject marrow into chamber until chamber is completely filled (B). A STEP 2 Allow Composite to Clot Allow BMA/TCP composite to clot inside the INFILTRATE chamber (approx minutes). STEP 3 Express CELLPLEX TCP Composite A Remove both end caps from the INFILTRATE Marrow Infusion Chamber (A). Use the supplied push rod to eject the CELLPLEX TCP Composite (B). B STEP 4 Implant CELLPLEX TCP Composite Cut to desired length and gently pack the CELLPLEX TCP Composite into the defect site.
