1 Ruric (Andy) Anderson, MD, MBA, FACP, is Senior Vice President of Academic Affairs and President & Board Chair, Aurora UW Medical Group Aurora Health Care. He serves as Associate Dean, Milwaukee Academic Campus, and Clinical Adjunct Professor, Department of Medicine, at the University of Wisconsin School of Medicine and Public Health. Dr. Anderson is the Chairman of this year s AIAMC Annual Meeting. He earned his MD degree at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill and completed residency training in internal medicine at the University of Chicago. Eric Anderson, MEd, is Director of Graduate Medical Education at Carolinas Healthcare System in Charlotte, North Carolina. Carolinas Healthcare System is the sponsoring institution to 34 residency and Fellowship programs. Prior to joining Carolinas Healthcare System, he served as the Manager of Graduate Medical Education at Moffitt Cancer Center and Director at the University of South Florida Morsani College of Medicine. Mr. Anderson is participating in National Initiative IV. He completed his Bachelor Degree at Saint Leo University and his Master of Education at the University of South Florida. Suzanne Anderson is Executive Vice President, Chief Information Officer and Chief Financial Officer at Virginia Mason Medical Center. In this role, one of her major areas of responsibility is network and contracting strategies. Nationally, Ms. Anderson is currently Treasurer and a member of the Executive Board of the National Board of Medical Examiners. She previously served as a Director and Board Chair of the Educational Commission for Foreign Medical Graduates. Ms. Anderson received a Bachelor of Arts degree from the University of Notre Dame and a Master of Business Administration degree from Vanderbilt University. Michael Bolton, MD, is Medical Director of Quality and Patient Safety and Section Chief, Pediatric Infectious Diseases at Our Lady of the Lake Children s Hospital. He serves as Clinical Assistant Professor, Department of Pediatrics, Tulane University School of Medicine. Dr. Bolton is participating in National Initiative IV. He earned his MD degree at and completed residency training at Louisiana State University Health Sciences Center, followed by fellowship training at Nationwide Children s Hospital in Columbus, Ohio.

2 Charlene Boyer, RN, is Chief Nursing Officer at Kaiser Permanente Oakland Medicine Center and Richmond Medical Center. Ms. Boyer started her professional journey with Kaiser Permanente nearly 25 years ago and progressed through various clinical nursing roles, including Chemotherapy, Peritoneal Dialysis, Post Surgical and Hospice Care. She holds a Master s Degree in Organizational Leadership and considers her leadership style to be relationshipbased. Ms. Boyer s focus is on promoting positive working relationships across all levels in the organization, nurturing commitment and enhancing accountability. Benjamin Bring, DO, is a third year Family Medicine Resident at Riverside Methodist Hospital, where he also serves as Chief Resident. He is participating in National Initiative IV and serves on many committees at Riverside Methodist Hospital, including Peer Review, GMEC, Procedure and Curriculum. Dr. Bring earned his Bachelor of Science degree in Biology from Denison University and completed his MD degree from Virginia College of Osteopathic Medicine. Mark Bullard, MD, is Medical Director, Carolinas Simulation Center Carolinas Healthcare System where he also serves as Associate Professor, Department of Emergency Medicine. He is a technical advisor for the Abbott Fund Tanzania, Muhimbili National Hospital and has presented nationally and internationally on the topics of simulation training and advances in emergency medicine training. Dr. Bullard earned his MD degree at the University of Cincinnati College of Medicine and completed residency training at Carolinas Medical Center. Miriam Chan, PharmD, is Program Director, Research and EBM Education at Riverside Methodist Hospital. In this role, she supervises and monitors scholarly projects for all Family Medicine residents and fellows. Dr. Chan is participating in this year s IHI Improvement Scholar Program in Collaboration with the AIAMC. She earned her Bachelor of Science in Pharmacy and Doctor of Pharmacy from The Ohio State University.

3 John Combes, MD, is Senior Vice President at the American Hospital Association and the President of the Center for Healthcare Governance, an AHA affiliate organization. He also leads the AHA s Physician Leadership Forum. Dr. Combes has served on several national advisory groups on medical ethics, palliative care and reduction of medication errors. He received his medical degree from Cornell University, completed residency training in internal medicine at Boston City Hospital and has Management Certification from the American College of Physician Executives. Robert Dressler, MD, MBA, is Associate Patient Safety Officer at Christiana Care Health System and Vice Chair and Director of Patient Safety and Quality, Department of Medicine at Christiana. He is also a Clinical Associate Professor of Medicine at Thomas Jefferson University. Dr. Dressler has been an active participant in the AIAMC National Initiatives and will chair National Initiative V. He was appointed to the AIAMC Board of Directors in Dr. Dressler earned his MD degree from the Sackler School of Medicine and completed residency training at Montefiore Hospital and Medical Center. Erin DuPree, MD, is Chief Medical Officer and Vice President for the Joint Commission Center for Transforming Healthcare. Dr. DuPree is a nationally recognized leader in patient safety and quality with expertise in process improvement methodology and information technology. She is certified as a Six Sigma Green Belt and is a TeamSTEPPS master trainer. Dr. DuPree is also a member of the CMS Innovation Advisors Program to help health care professionals test new models of care delivery. She earned her MD degree from Columbia University, College of Physicians and Surgeons in New York City. Laura Edgar, EdD, CAE, joined the ACGME in She is the executive director for Milestone Development and the executive director for the Review Committees for Medical Genetics, Pathology, and Radiation Oncology. Over the last four years she was influential in the development of Milestones for more than eighty specialties. Dr. Edgar is a frequent speaker on topics related to accreditation, milestones, assessment and education. Dr. Edgar earned her doctorate in organizational leadership. She is a certified medical technologist and a certified association executive.

4 Robert Englander, MD, MPH, is Senior Director of Competency Based Learning and Assessment at the Association of American Medical Colleges (AAMC). Prior to joining the AAMC in 2011, he served as Sr. Vice President for Quality and Patient Safety at the Connecticut Children s Medical Center. Dr. Englander earned his MD degree from Yale School of Medicine and MPH in Epidemiology from Johns Hopkins School of Hygiene and Public Health. He completed residency training in pediatrics at the Children s National Medical Center in Washington, DC. Leonard Feld, MD, PhD, MMM, FAAP, is Professor and Sara H. Bissell & Howard C. Bissell Endowed Chair in Pediatrics, Senior Medical Director and Senior Academic Chair of the Pediatric Specialties Care Division of Carolinas HealthCare System s Medical Group. He also serves as Chief Medical Officer at the Levine Children s Hospital at Carolinas Healthcare System and Clinical Professor of Pediatrics at UNC School of Medicine. Dr. Feld earned his MD and PhD from the State University of New York at Buffalo, School of Medicine. He completed residency training in pediatrics and pediatric nephrology at the Albert Einstein College. Donald Goldmann, MD, is Chief Medical and Scientific Officer, Institute for Healthcare Improvement (IHI) and Clinical Professor of Pediatrics at Harvard Medical School. He has a long track record focused on identifying and testing innovative interventions to improve health care quality, as well as in disseminating and implementing evidence based practices at scale in diverse provider settings. Dr. Goldmann earned his MD degree at Harvard Medical School and completed residency and fellowship training at Massachusetts General Hospital. Thomas Harmon, MD, is Vice President Medical Affairs at OhioHealth Riverside Methodist Hospital. He also serves as Chairman of the Multidisciplinary Peer Review Committee and Credentials Committee at Riverside and is a Past President of the Medical Staff. Dr. Harman earned his MD degree from The Ohio State University and completed residency training at Riverside Methodist Hospital and St. Ann s Hospital in Columbus, OH.

5 Mark Hertling, leads programs for Global Partnering, Physician Leadership and Health Performance Strategy at Florida Hospital. He retired from the US Army in 2013 as a Lieutenant General. Receiving a Bachelor of Science from the US Military Academy, Lieutenant Hertling is a graduate of the Army's Staff College, the School of Advanced Military Studies, and the National War College; he holds Masters Degrees in History and International Relations from these institutions, and he also earned a Master's Degree in Exercise Physiology from Indiana University. Brian Hodges, MD, PhD, FRCPC, is a Professor in the Faculty of Medicine and Faculty of Education (OISE/UT) at the University of Toronto; the Richard and Elizabeth Currie Chair in Health Professions Education Research at the Wilson Centre for Research in Education; and Vice President Education at the University Health Network (Toronto General, Toronto Western Princess Margaret and Toronto Rehab Hospitals). Dr. Hodges earned his BA and MD degrees from Queen s University. He completed his MEd and PhD degrees in higher education at the University of Toronto. Lisa Howley, PhD, is Assistant Vice President of Medical Education & Physician Development and Associate DIO at Carolinas Healthcare System. In this role, she is responsible for graduate medical education accreditation and curriculum development at the flagship sponsoring institution, as well as physician leadership development and simulation based education across the enterprise. She oversees the dually accredited simulation center. She is the current and founding director of the Centers for Faculty Excellence and Physician Development. Dr. Howley earned her PhD in educational psychology at the University of Virginia. Neil Jasani, MD, MBA, FACEP, is Chief Academic Officer, Vice President of Medical Affairs and DIO at Christiana Care Health System. He also serves as an Associate Clinical Professor in Emergency Medicine at Jefferson Medical College. Dr. Jasani serves on numerous national boards and committees, including the board of examiners for the Malcolm Baldrige National Quality Award. He earned his MD degree from Georgetown University School of Medicine and completed residency training at Christiana Care Health System. He also holds a Master degree in Business Administration from the University of Tennessee.

6 Dawn Marie Kelly, MEd, is an Educational Specialist in the Department of Medical Education at TriHealth. In this role, she develops and presents curriculum to support residency education and faculty development as well as assists residency program coordinators in the development of effective evaluation tools for residents educational progress. Ms. Kelly earned a Bachelor of Science degree from Miami University (OH) and a Master of Education degree from the University of Cincinnati. Darrell Kirch, MD, is President and CEO of the Association of American Medical Colleges (AAMC), which represents the nation s medical schools, teaching hospitals and academic societies. A distinguished physician, education and medical scientist, Dr. Kirch speaks and publishes widely on the need for transformation in the nation s health care system and how academic medicine can lead that change across medical education, medical research and patient care. A native of Denver, he earned his MD degree from the University of Colorado and completed residency training in psychiatry. Michele Lin, MD, is Associate Professor of Clinical Emergency Medicine, Step 3 and Academy Endowed Chair for Emergency Medicine Education at the University of California San Francisco. She is a national member of the Social Media Task Force for the Society for Academic Emergency Medicine (SAEM) and is a peer reviewer for the Journal of Graduate Medical Education. Dr. Lin earned her MD degree from Stanford University School of Medicine and completed residency training in emergency medicine at Harbor UCLA Medical Center. Barry Mann, MD, FACS, is Chief Academic Officer at Main Line Health System and Professor of Surgery at Jefferson Medical College. He also serves as Program Director, General Surgery at Lankenau Hospital. He is a participant in National Initiative IV and will be appointed to the AIAMC Board of Directors on April 1 st. Dr. Mann earned his MD degree from the University of Pennsylvania and completed residency training at Tufts New England Medical Center and the University of California Center for Health Sciences.

7 Kimberly Morton, MD, is Chief Resident, Internal Medicine at Riverside Methodist Hospital. She is participating in National Initiative IV and serves on many committees at Riverside Methodist Hospital, including GMEC, Critical Care Guidance Council, Patient Compliance Committee and Internal Medicine Peer Review Committee. Dr. Morton earned her Bachelor of Science and MD degree at the University of Toledo and completed residency training at Riverside Methodist Hospital. Lois Margaret Nora, MD, JD, MBA, is President and Chief Executive Officer of the American Board of Medical Specialties (ABMS). Dr. Nora s scholarly work focuses on issues in medical education, particularly the student environment, and issues at the intersection of law and medicine. Her honors include the American Medical Women s Association President s Recognition Award and the AAMC Group on Educational Affairs Merrel Flair Award in Medical Education, among others. Dr. Nora earned her MD degree from Rush Medical College, a JD degree from the University of Chicago and a Master of Business Administration degree from the University of Kentucky Gatton College of Business and Economics. Photo Not Available Hollis O Neal, Jr., MD, is Medical Director of Research at Our Lady of the Lake Regional Medical Center. He also serves as Assistant Professor of Clinical Medicine at the Louisiana State University Health Sciences Center. Dr. O Neal earned his MD degree and completed residency training in internal medicine at the Louisiana State University School of Medicine at New Orleans and fellowship training in pulmonary medicine at Vanderbilt University School of Medicine. Chinwe Onyekere, MPH, is Associate Administrator at Lankenau Medical Center and System Administrator for Graduate Medical Education at Main Line Health. In this role, she is responsible for implementing innovative models for primary care medicine, overseeing the financial graduate medical enterprise as well as building relationships with communitybased organizations in the Philadelphia area. Ms. Onyekere has been committed to transforming the way health care is delivered locally and nationally to improve the health outcomes of all underserved and low income communities. She earned a Master of Public Health degree at Columbia University s Mailman School of Public Health.

8 Kate Regnier, MA, MBA, is Executive Vice President of the Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education (ACCME). In this role, she oversees the processes of accreditation and reaccreditation for national and international providers of continuing medical education. As Chief Operating Officer, Ms. Regnier oversees the education, communications, monitoring and business functions of the ACCME. She is also the primary staff liaison to the ACCME Board of Directors. Ms. Regnier earned a Master of Arts degree in English from Northwestern University and a Master of Business Administration degree from Loyola University of Chicago. Kenneth Silverstein, MD, MBA, is Chief Medical Officer at Christiana Care Health System. He is also Clinical Instructor of Anesthesiology at Thomas Jefferson University. Prior to his 2014 appointment as CMO, Dr. Silverstein served as Chair, Department of Anesthesiology and Medical Director, Perioperative Services at Christiana. Dr. Silverstein earned his MD degree from New York University School of Medicine and completed residency training in anesthesia at Brigham and Women s Hospital. Deborah Simpson, PhD, is the Medical Education Programs Director, Academic Administration, for the Aurora UW Medical Group in Milwaukee. She is also an adjunct Professor in Family and Community Medicine at the Medical College of Wisconsin as well as clinical adjunct Professor in Family Medicine at the University of Wisconsin School of Medicine and Public Health. Dr. Simpson serves as Deputy Editor for the Journal of Graduate Medical Education and will be appointed to the AIAMC Board of Directors on April 1 st. She earned her PhD in Educational Psychology from the University of Minnesota at Minneapolis. Susan Skochelak, MD, MPH, is Group Vice President for Medical Education at the American Medical Association (AMA). She developed and leads the AMA s Accelerating Change in Medical Education Initiative working to promote innovation that better aligns physician training with the changing needs of our health care system. Dr. Skochelak previously served as the Senior Associate Dean for Academic Affairs at the University of Wisconsin School of Medicine and Public Health. She is actively involved in medical education research and has been the principal investigator for more than $18 million in grant awards from the NIH, the US Department of Health and Human Services and from private foundations.

9 Sara Sukalich, MD, is Director of Medical Education and DIO at Riverside Methodist Hospital. She serves on many committees at Riverside, including Medical Executive Council, Medical Operations Team, Patient Experience and GMEC. She is also a participant in National Initiative IV. Her civic activities include volunteer physician at the Physicians Free Clinic and Board of Directors, Friends of Worthington Libraries. Dr. Sukalich earned her MD degree from the University of Cincinnati and completed residency training at the University of Rochester School of Medicine and Dentistry. Warner Thomas is President and Chief Executive Officer of Ochsner Health System, Louisiana s largest non profit health system. Mr. Thomas joined Ochsner in 1998 and served for 14 years as President and Chief Operating Officer (COO). As COO, he was instrumental in Ochsner s growth in the wake of Hurricane Katrina, which devastated much of the medical infrastructure in south Louisiana. In the years following the storm and prior to his 2012 appointment as CEO, Ochsner acquired six hospitals and established a strong presence across south Louisiana. Mr. Thomas earned a Master in Business Administration degree from Boston University Graduate School of Management. Kevin Weiss, MD, MPH, is Senior Vice President for Institutional Accreditation at the Accreditation Council for Graduate Medical Education (ACGME), where he is responsible for the Clinical Learning Environment Review (CLER) Program. He also co Chairs the CLER Evaluation Committee and oversees the ACGME s Institutional Review Committee s accreditation activities. Dr. Weiss earned his MD degree from the University of Health Sciences/Chicago Medical School and a Master of Public Health degree from the University of Illinois School of Public Health as well as a Master in Health Services Administration degree from Harvard University. Becky Williams, MEd, is Administrative Director, Medical Education at TriHealth. In this role, she oversees medical education compliance at the organization as well as program and activity levels for undergraduate, graduate and continuing medical education. Ms. Williams is a member of the Alliance for Continuing Medical Education in the Health Professions, the Association of Hospital Medical Education and serves as an accreditation compliance surveyor for the Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education. She earned a Master of Education degree from Xavier University.
