3 How it Works The PinPoint system offers simple, real-time tool inventory information. PinPoint users gain access to cabinet contents by swiping their personal ID card at the access console. The system will recognize the technician s assigned authorization level and unlock only the permitted drawers and doors. After removing the required tools, the technician simply closes the drawer and pushes a button to end the session. With no additional manual data entry necessary, the PinPoint system maintains constant real-time inventory of the items checked out. The tool return process is just as simple and just as fast.
