1 Monterey Institute of International Studies 2011 New Student Questionnaire Report of Primary Findings Report by: Office of Planning and Assessment Office of Institutional Research 10/23/ of 16
2 Each new student enrolling at the Monterey Institute must complete the New Student Questionnaire before they can access Banner and other necessary systems. Because of the mandatory nature of the survey, 100% of the 348 eligible new students submitted surveys*. The survey consisted of questions designed to improve recruitment strategies, collect necessary information for reporting purposes, and better advise and teach the newly admitted students. This report is divided into three sections: Prior Experience, Admissions Factors, and Career Path. Prior Experience Several items on the survey inquire about student s prior experience. These items included those listed below, broken down by degree. Details regarding specific organizations, programs, and sponsorship are available in a supplementary report.
