4 MOVE to customised solutions Customer Successes Customer Successes Superior customer loyalty through a new generation loyalty system Our Client One of the oldest operating airlines in the world. Requirement The current loyalty programme was cumbersome and difficult to update frequently. The client required a simpler integrated solution. Solution We introduced 'Siebel Loyalty' to replace the existing loyalty system along with a full project life cycle execution. Our in-depth knowledge of the Airline industry has keen insights into the loyalty programme that our client has used which, in turn has enabled us to successfully develop and execute the 'Siebel Loyalty' system. This system was then integrated across various business critical applications such as the revenue accounting system, fulfilment house, data warehouse, and systems of airline partners. We also ensured a smooth upgrade to higher versions of Siebel to leverage its new functions. This was the world's first 'Siebel Loyalty' implementation for an airline, and included the endto-end implementation of Siebel Sales and Siebel Marketing applications. Business Impact The solution helped our client reach a wider set of customers through the new improved marketing feedback system. It also helped improve the customer tracking system, which in turn enabled a focused sales effort and a high revenue conversion rate.

5 Greater operational efficiency using the Weight & Balance Application Cost savings through testing of Altea Product Suite Our Client One of the world's largest ISVs for the travel and transportation sector. Requirement For optimal performance of an aircraft, it must fly within the defined performance limits. The load balance has to be within the operational envelope of the aircraft, and the Centre of Gravity (CG) must be within the specified range for the optimal performance of the aircraft. Our client required a Weight & Balance Application, to distribute and update the weight and balance data of aircrafts in order to comply with the requirements of JAR-OPS section Solution Our experience in working with different aircraft manufacturers and airline service providers provided the knowledge to assess the problem and arrive at a solution. We developed an application to optimise the performance of the flight's operations - a robust application for Weight & Balance, using technologies like Web 2.0, SUN Access Manager, JSF, Spring, Hibernate, JBOSS, Oracle VPD, SeeBeyond and IBM Websphere MQ. Our Client A global airline major. Requirement One of the client's most critical business applications 'Altea Product Suite', had to be tested for its effectiveness Solution We carried out Independent Verification & Validation (IV&V) of the Altea Product Suite, from testing the strategy and planning the case, the case design with a review mechanism, its execution and its defects in logging and tracking and analysing the defects with regression testing. Through this we ensured end-toend test execution, taking into account the impact of interfacing applications.. Business Impact Our extensive test coverage based on an onsite-offshore model delivered a significant cost savings for the client. Our thorough understanding of the airlines industry helped us reduce the testing time, leading to faster execution of the Altea Product Suite. Business Impact Our application caused a sharp and definite increase in the client's revenues, achieved through greater operational efficiency. We also ensured that the Weight & Balance Application complied with all the mandatory requirements Rewarding high-value customers through Frequent Flyer Programme Our Client One of the leading airline operators in Europe. Attaining regulatory compliance through Interline e-ticketing Testing Our Client One of the largest airlines in Europe. Requirement The International Air Transport Association (IATA) made 100% adoption of Interline e-ticketing compulsory for all airlines. Our client approached us to meet the IATA deadline. Solution Comprehensive integration and regression testing was done for our client's e-ticketing system and its interfaces with other business critical systems. Understanding the complexities involved in the airlines ticketing system facilitated the 80% prebuild of the test cases. Quality testing ensuring efficient testing. Business Impact With our robust pre-built test cases, our client was able to drastically reduce the testing time, thereby allowing the airline to meet IATA's deadline. Apart from this, the test coverage led to cost savings as well. Requirement Every airline offers upgrades in their frequent flyers' travelling class when a pre-defined amount of points are collected. The task was to develop a system that could proactively identify class upgrade offers for frequent flyers. Solution We suggested a real-time application that would evaluate the frequent flyer's value points and allocate a higherclass seat as per the availability of unsold seats. We developed and executed a customised application using the latest technology available.the application was based on Intalio BPM Suite, and the processes were integrated using Mule ESB, JBOSS Rules, Axis, and JBOSS Server. Also, additional flexibility in customization was made possible by using Open Source technology. Business Impact The application served the client by identifying and rewarding their high-value customers. This led to higher customer retention and increased customer delight, which in turn resulted in increased operational revenues.
