1 Syllabus MBAD 5141 Quantitative Analysis in Business Oper3200 and MBAD 5141 Are the Same Course Instructor: Dr.W.Douglas Douglas Cooper Office: 275A Friday Bldg. Phone: Hours: As Defined NEW Course Description and Objectives: MBAD 5141 is designed for Pre-MBA students to use as a "review" of past-taken quantitative skills courses. Pre-MBA students must demonstrate quantitative proficiency in each of four topical areas. These are: 1. Basic Linear Mathematics 2. Basic Calculus 3. Basic Probability 4. Basic Statistics.

2 Syllabus MBAD 5141 Quantitative Analysis in Business Students demonstrate competence in each of the four areas by passing an area test before moving to for-credit MBA courses at UNC Charlotte's Belk College of Business Administration. i i Because the topics in MBAD 5141 are considered review for Pre-MBA students - the burden of preparation for each of the four area tests lies with the student. Classes for MBAD 5141 are to be treated as tutorial sessions for each of the tests given in the four areas of required knowledge. Students may take any of the four area tests at designated times during a given semester. 3 Syllabus MBAD 5141 Quantitative Analysis in Business Exams and Grading: Each of the Four Required Competence Tests Will be Given One Time During the Course. To successfully complete the course the student must pass all four of the tests.
