7 8. WeNeo: Technology brief WeNeo supports both point to point and MCU based architecture. However, MCU based architecture is recommended only when no of participants in a single conference is around 20+ or higher. For this Project we are proposing Point to point based solution. WeNeo server can be hosted in a cloud environment and run on Internet. Also, it can be hosted within a SWAN network and can be accessed only within the specified closed user group. WeNeo controller an intelligence spread across Client side & network layer that enables the application to switch from point to point to MCU based architecture as and when no of participants overshoots a threshold value 9. WeNeo: Hosting environment The Server side consists of a robust and scalable Application Server like JBoss and a world class SIP server (like Asterisk, Kmailio etc.). The Application server hosts the web Application and other Enterprise application layers which is responsible for hosting the web application, Enterprise grade Authentication & Authorization and other Business logic. The SIP server takes care of signaling across participants in a conference, presence status and deals with Session Establish protocol. The Application server is highly scalable and cluster of such server can be easily plugged in as soon as the no of users and corresponding load goes up. The SIP servers are also largely scalable and each of such instance can handle more than 10,000 messages per second.

8 As soon as the Authentication process is over, each of the Browser becomes a SIP client and exchange SIP messages over web socket connection across other SIP clients who has participated in that conference. When a Video conference session starts, the video stream is actually transmitted through UDP channel that gets establishes between two participating points (i.e. machine IPs) directly. Thus the video & audio data are not transmitted through server, rather transmitted over UDP channel following a Point to point architecture. System Requirement: For the server side, primarily two boxes will be required with following hardware configurations (considering hosting of 500 0users): Quad core Processor (Intel Xeon 2GHz or higher), 4 GB RAM or higher, 1GB Ethernet Card Operating System: Linux: Debian 7 (64 bit) Windows Server 2008 (64bit ) 10. WeNeo: Engagement WeNeo is available both in Platform as a Service and On Premise model. A. Platform as a service: In Platform as a Service, the software will be hosted on a cloud server and maintained by WeNeo. The subscription/license fee is charged on yearly basis. B. On premise: In this model, the server component will be installed and hosted in Enterprise owned data center. The Server side application will be setup and installed by WeNeo but maintained by Govt entity. Subscription will be one time charge per user.
