The predesign also addressed drainage of three interchanges proposed as part of the Terwillegar Drive project. 184 th Street and Yellowhead Trail Interchange Drainage, City of Edmonton, AB: including: Wetland development concept including lake stabilization structure for a 100 ha wetland and Ducks Unlimited protected habitat Water quality enhancement using stormwater separators On site SWM ponds, retention and piping.. Mill Creek Roper Pond, City of Edmonton, AB: Concept, preliminary design, design and construction services for a (171,000 m 3 ) stormwater and wetland facility. Work included: Development of a naturalized wetland Water quality improvements Flood reduction of developed lands Contaminated site clean-up Development of a Natural Area Management Plan Walking, jogging paths and interpretative signage. Big Lake Drainage Study, Parkland County, AB: Watershed Management Plan (1,600 km 2 ) to address flooding, predevelopment flows and to develop a regional watershed master plan that addresses: Rural and urban drainage Rural practices Floodway and flood fringe protection Environmental enhancement and protection. Anthony Henday Drive West, Alberta Transportation, Edmonton, AB: Preliminary design, design and construction of the SWM facilities necessary to serve the City of Edmonton Anthony Henday Drive ring road (east section) ($6 million). Work included: 7 SWM wetland ponds 2,000 m of 600 to 1650 mm diameter storm sewers Four creek drop structures varying in depth from 6 to 20 m. Fulton Creek SWM Facility, City of Edmonton, AB: To accommodate WMD extension from 34 th Street to Highway 14, a SWM system was required. Work included Conceptual, Predesign, Design and Construction Services. Components include: Regional Wetland facility, 200,000 m³ - CEA Award of Excellence Naturalization outfall channel including wetlands 1,000 m of 1350, 900 and 750 mm storm sewer. Regional Trunk Wet Weather Flow Analysis, City of Spruce Grove, AB: Analysis of wet weather flows and the regional trunk capacity to determine sizing required accommodating Sanitary Sewer Overflows (SSO). 2
3 Watershed Master Plan, City of Spruce Grove, AB: Master plan for the City of Spruce Grove Drainage System including 1,500 ha of land plus 5,000 ha from outside of the City. Developed SWM facilities, sizes and locations and conveyance. Mill Creek, Fulton Creek and Gold Bar Creek Watershed Master Plan, City of Edmonton, AB: Developed a Watershed Master Plan for a major portion of the City of Edmonton Millwoods development including existing and undeveloped areas. The Master Plan identified capacity restrictions and required upgrading. Watershed Plans included the following basins: Mill Creek Basin: 9,900 ha Fulton Creek Basin: 3,300 ha Gold Bar Creek Basin: 2,600 ha. Water Transmission Systems Avenue Road Trunk Water Main, City of Toronto, ON: Provided design review and constructability reviews for the installation of approximately 3500 m of 900 mm dia. water main on Avenue Road from Cottingham Street to Eglinton Avenue and 2000 m of 750 mm dia. water main on Avenue Road from Eglinton Avenue to the connection point at Caribou Road. Franklin Avenue Water Trunk Main, Regional Municipality of Wood Buffalo, AB: Project director and technical reviewer on the 750 mm Franklin Ave water trunk main. Wok included 1200 m of 750 mm trunk watermain, PRV station, interconnecting piping, and full rehabilitation and restoration of the Franklin Ave. arterial roadway. Saline Creek Water Transmission Main. Regional Municipality of Wood Buffalo, AB: Project Director, Manager and Technical reviewer on this multiyear $55M project consisting of multiple contracts considting of: 1800 m of 750 mm steel pipe including trenchless hammer crossing of a river m of 750 mm steel pipe including a 2500 m directional drill and a 1000 m directional drill 800 m of 750 mm PVC pipe including full street rehabilitation. Saline Creek Water Transmission Main. Regional Municipality of Wood Buffalo, AB: Project Director on the 1700m of 600 mm water trunk main to Saline Creek. Work included full rehabilitation of McLennan Blvd and a 1000 m direction drill of Saline creek. The scope included hydraulic modelling of a community of 20,000 people.. Water for Life Regional Strategy, Alberta Environment, AB: Participated as an expert on the Regional Strategy and Waterworks Facility Assessment study for the Province of Alberta. Water Transmission Main Upgrading, EPCOR Water Services Inc., AB: Design and construction of water transmission main upgrades to accommodate a Highway interchange. Work included: 600 mm hot tap to a 900 mm concrete cylinder pipe 900 mm plug valve on a concrete cylinder pipe 400 m of 750 mm transmission main 700 m of 600 mm transmission main Valve and blow off chambers. Water Master Plan, Strathcona County, AB: Carried out a Water Master Plan for Strathcona County. The scope included: 2,000 ha of industrial land 3
4 6,000 ha of residential land 12,000 ha of country residential land (40,000 people) Regional water supply Five pressure zones and multiple reservoirs. Zone 2 Reservoir and Pumphouse, City of Spruce Grove, AB: Design and construction of a 6,800 m³ reservoir and pumphouse. Unique features included: Expansion to 40,000 m³ Twin fire pumps 115 L/s each SCADA control Two tennis courts and a Basketball court Architectural design of exposed edge match a Cardinal designed High School. Transportation Clearwater Drive, Regional Municipality of Wood Buffalo, AB: Preliminary design for a $25 million, 3,000 m arterial roadway complete with a bridge crossing the Hangingstone River. 156 th Street and Yellowhead Trail Interchange Value Engineering, City of Edmonton, AB: Coordinated and participated in the Value Engineering for the Interchange design and provided senior level infrastructure review of the project. 34 th Street Interchange Value Engineering, City of Edmonton, AB: Provided specialist engineering input into the 34 th Street and Whitemud Drive Interchange Value Engineering review. 23 rd Avenue Value Engineering, City of Edmonton, AB: Provided specialist engineering input into the Value Engineering review of the 23 rd Avenue and Calgary Trail Interchange project. 184 th Street and Yellowhead Trail Interchange, City of Edmonton, AB: Project manager for the preliminary design, design and construction services for a $50 million project included 3 bridge structures (CN Widening, 184 th Street Structure, CN Overpass), drainage, electrical and lighting. Confederation Way Twinning, Regional Municipality of Wood Buffalo, Fort McMurray, AB: Preliminary design, design and construction services for 6.5 km of major arterial/ freeway twinning ($8 million). Work included: Curb and gutter and paving Landscaping Sidewalks and trail system Beaming Milling and overlay of 3.5 km Street lighting and traffic lights CB replacement program. Loutit Road Arterial Roadway, Regional Municipality of Wood Buffalo, AB: Design and construction of 300 m of a four-lane arterial roadway. Work included: Functional design and traffic generation for the sizing of Loutit Road Analysis and sizing of water and sanitary sewer trunk services Impact into the legal subdivision of the area Design and construction of water, sewer, storm sewer, curb and gutter, sidewalks, lights for the major arterial roadway. 4
5 Wastewater OAW Trunk Sanitary Sewer Tunnel, Region of Niagara, Technical oversight and constructability reviews for the construction of a 2.8 km 1650 mm dia. concrete CSO diversion sewer tunnel in the City of Welland constructed by tunnel boring machine, four (4) cast-in-place concrete access structures and four (4) drop structures. The trunk serves a population of approximately 41,000 and 1,062 Ha drainage area. East Brampton Trunk Sewer Twinning, Region of Peel, ON: Design and constructability reviews for 5.5 km of new twin trunk sewer in the East Brampton trunk sewer system. Project includes a combination of open cut and trenchless installations across multiple creek crossings, 407ETR highway and CN railway and connection and flow equalization chambers. Waste Water Master Plan, Regional Municipality of Wood Buffalo: AE was commissioned by the RMWB to complete a wastewater master plan. To be consistent with the Alberta Environment and Sustainable Resource Development Operating Approval, AE included all the components that impact the wastewater system for a design population of over 300,000 people. The work included population projections and land use assessments, wastewater treatment facilities, wastewater collection modelling and conceptual design, stormwater management modelling and system design, wastewater green initiatives and asset management. Tertiary Wastewater Reclamation Facility, Regional Municipality of Wood Buffalo, Fort McMurray, AB: Project Manager responsible for 33 MLD WWTP valued at $160 million (Phase 1) and 6 MLD WWTP valued at $25 million - Phase 2 expansion. Responsibilities included: Selecting and managing a design consultant Overall project administration for the Regional Municipality of Wood Buffalo including approvals and financial management. WESS - W12, City of Edmonton, AB: Preliminary, design and construction of a 1200 m by 2.5 m diameter syphon across the North Saskatchewan River. The syphon is part of the City s CSO reduction program and consists of: 1200 m of 2.5 m diameter tunnel Two - 80 m drop shafts Real time control gates and structure Diversion gates and structures Diversion design flow 15 m³/s Total design flow 60 m 3 /s South Nepean Collector Syphon, Ottawa, ON: Conceptual design configuration of a 100 m inverted syphon across the Jock River in Ottawa, Ontario. Proposed syphon serves 67,000 people at a flow of 1.6 m³/s and consisted of a 400, 600 and 900 mm pipe complete with inlet and outlet structures. West Sanitary Trunk Sewer, City of Spruce Grove, AB: Preliminary design, design and construction of a multi-year trunk sewer project. Scope includes: 1,000 m of 900 mm diameter 800 m of 750 mm diameter 400 m of 600 mm diameter Flow measurement vault Creek crossing. 5
6 Millgrove I/I Reduction Program, City of Spruce Grove, AB: Major rainfall event 1:100 resulted in extensive basement flooding. An I/I reduction program consisted of: 800 lot survey Onlot remedial program Lot regarding Roof leader extension Manhole I/I reduction program Overland flow routing program Trunk sewer relief program. Central Sanitary Trunk Sewer, City of Spruce Grove, AB: Preliminary design, design and construction of 1,000 m of 750 mm and 900 mm diameter trunk sewer. Work included: 200 mm trenchless highway crossing Dewatering Flow measurement vault. Clareview Inverted Syphon, City of Edmonton, AB: Design and construction of 400 m of 750 mm diameter inverted syphon. Project relieved system capacity constraints and included: Mag meter vault 1200 mm concrete gravity pipe hot tap Valving and cross over chamber modifications. Southeast Sanitary Trunk Sewer, Town of Slave Lake, AB: Design and construction of 2,000 m of 900 mm, 750 mm, 450 mm, and 300 mm sanitary trunk sewer. The project involved: Four highway auger crossings Two creek crossings Extensive 2 stage well point dewatering. Thickwood Heights Sewer Upgrading, City of Fort McMurray, AB: Preliminary design of a sewer system upgrading to deal with I/I and wet weather flows in the sanitary sewer system. Work included flow monitoring and system modelling. The result was the detailed design and construction of the following: 1,000 m of 450 mm Sanitary Trunk Sewer 400 m of 600 mm Sanitary Trunk Sewer 4,500 m 3 of online sanitary sewer storage upstream of the Thickwood Heights Lift Station. Expert Witness/Arbitration South Expansion Area Annexation, Town of Slave Lake, AB: Technical support and expert witness to a major annexation application for the Town. Included presentation to the Local Authority Board. West Bank Annexation, Town of Peace River, AB: Technical support and expert witness for the annexation application to the Local Authorities Board. Development Review, Emery Jamieson: Expert witness and technical review of a residential development. Drainage Claim, Town of Stony Plain, AB: Carried out a review and investigation into a drainage claim. Work involved foundation inspection and development of a suggested remediation plan. 6

The screening dealt with a cotton bleaching process and waste water treatment process.
