(November): (IF: 1.533) RESEARCH My research is focused on the biology of wound healing and the effects of select polyunsaturated fatty acids (PUFA) on the cellular and molecular mechanisms controlling inflammation. Chronic inflammation is associated with wounds that fail to heal and common diseases in the aging population (e.g. atherosclerosis, type 2 diabetes). My research also involves characterizing the dietary patterns (including PUFA intake) of select populations (e.g. young adults, patients with chronic venous leg ulcers) and examining the impact of nutrition on wound healing and health.
