19 :"$ The available labor pool consists of 37,033 members, including 4,872 general laborers and 2,838 clerical workers. About 3/4 ths (73.3%) of the Available Labor Pool have at least a some college and about 1/3 rd (33.5%) have at least a bachelors degree. 96% (about 35,550) will commute 15 minutes or less, one way, for employment. About 72% (26,469) are willing to travel 30 minutes or less, one way, for an employment opportunity. 50% (18,330) of the Available Labor Pool are interested in an employment opportunity with a wage of $14 an hour. At $12 an hour, 40% (15,915) of the available labor is interested.
20 :"$ 7,260 members of the Available Labor Pool are interested in a blue collar employment opportunity with a wage of $14 an hour, while 7,920 of the ALP are interested in a service job at the same rate. About 1/4 th (28%), or 10,263 members of the available labor pool consider themselves underutilized. Almost 3/4 ths (72.4%) of the underutilized workers have at least a some college and 25% have at least a bachelors degree. 46% of the underutilized work in customer service jobs, 15% work in general labor jobs, and 35% work in either professional or skilled labor jobs.
