2 What is Green Freight Europe? Green Freight Europe (GFE) is the leading industry driven programme to support companies in improving the environmental performances of freight transport in Europe Green Freight Europe supports companies in improving the environmental performances of freight transport in Europe by: Providing a CO2-Reporting Platform to enable companies to report data in a standardized way and benchmarking in order to stimulate improvements Being a knowledge centre offering Best Practices, Verified Technologies and a portal to sustainable products and services Facilitating alignment and collaboration with (EU) government policy targeting freight environmental sustainability and other key players/initiatives working in this field 2
3 GFE Members: Carriers and LSP s A non-exhaustive list of some of the members 3

8 Why should one report? Customers are increasingly asking for environmental performance reports A way for Carriers and LSP s to differentiate A way for Shippers (principal) to select an operator Increased insight into environmental performance provides opportunities to not only reduce CO2 Emission but also to reduce costs from own resources used. 8
