1 Transfer Guide to St. Louis Community College Clinical Laboratory Technology STLCC- is required to complete the AAS Degree. The clinical laboratory technician analyzes human blood and tissue samples. These technicians work in hospitals, clinical laboratories, doctor s offices, public health, research and industrial laboratories. The perform typing and cross matching of blood, antibody identification, various chemical analyses and standard techniques in microbiology, coagulation, quality control and other routine procedures. Graduates are eligible to take a National Certifying Registry Examination. Requirements for admission: Courses: Basic Algebra or one year high school algebra, General Biology or one year high school biology with lab and one year of high school chemistry with lab. The student must complete the pre-requisite courses with C or better grades in each course for enrollment in the Clinical Lab program.
