1 YACHT CLUB DE CANNES FINN International Cannes Week TROPHÉE MONTÉSINOS February 9th 13th 2015 NOTICE OF RACE Organizing Authority: Yacht Club de Cannes RULES The Regatta will be governed by: Rules as defined in The Racing Rules of Sailing, French National prescriptions to all competitors. If there is a conflict between languages, the English text will take precedence. 2. ADVERTISING In accordance with ISAF Regulation 20 (Advertising Code) as modified by the Advertising regulation of the FFVoile, boats may be required to display the advertising chosen and supplied by the organizing authority ELIGIBILITY AND ENTRY The regatta is open to all boats from the following series FINN, who must present at the registration: Competitors (each crew member) living in France shall present during registration: the valid and signed FFVoile s licence with health certificate and a parents permission for the minors, A valid authorization to display advertising on boat, if necessary The measurement form or certificate of the boat, Foreign competitors without a French licence shall present evidence at their membership to an ISAF Member national authority. Eligible boats may enter by completing the entry form and sending it, together with the required fee to Yacht Club de Cannes, no later than January 25th, Late entries will be accepted but the entries fees will be increased. The following restrictions on the number of boats apply : 80 boats ENTRY FEES The entry fee will be as follows: , excepted 25 years old and less: 60. 2 SCHEDULE Registration: February 9th: 9.00am to 6.00pm February 10th: 9.00am to 12.00am Measurement and stamping February 9th: 9.00am to 6.00pm February 10th: 9.00am to 12.00am Days of racing February 10th: 1st warning signal at 2.00pm February 11th: 1st warning signal at 11.00am February 12th: 1st warning signal at 11.00am 7.00pm: Reception with diner for concurrent and Challenge Aquarelle.com Canal+ -Mercedes Benz - Yves Louis Pinaud 2014 prize giving. February 13th: 1st warning signal at 10.00am Prize giving, as soon as possible, after the last race. 6. MEASUREMENT Each boat shall produce a valid measurement certificate. Pre race measurements operations will be made. 7. SAILING INSTRUCTIONS The sailing instructions and their appendices will be available at confirmation of registration on February 9th and 10th. 8. VENUE The regatta will take place in the Golfe Juan Bay or Cannes Bay. 9. THE COURSES Courses to be sailed will be as follows: geometrical PENALTY SYSTEM The RRS 44.1 and 44.2 will apply The Appendix P will apply Decisions on the International Jury will be final as provided in rule SCORING 11.1 Scoring system used is the Low Point System races are required to be completed to constitute a series. 11.3(a) when fewer than 4 races have been completed, a boat s series score will be the total of her race score. 11.3(b) when 4 or more races have been completed, a boat s series score will be the total of her race scores excluding her worst score. 12. Support Boats: 12.1 All support boats shall be required to comply with local legislation and event support boat regulations. The organizing authority may refuse registration and accept later registration at their sole discretion All support boats shall clearly display the 3 letters national code of their ISAF Member national Authority at all times while afloat Support boats with team leaders, coaches and other personal support shall stay outside areas where boats are racing from the time of the starting sequence until all boats have finished or the race committee signals a postponement, general recall or abandonment.

3 12.4 When the Race Committee display flag V with repetitive sounds, all official and support boats shall monitor the race committee radio channel for search and rescue instructions. 13. RADIO COMMUNICATION Except in an emergency, a boat shall neither make radio transmissions while racing nor receive radio communications not available to all boats. This restriction also applies to mobile telephones. 14 DISCLAIMER OF LIABILITY Competitors participate in the regatta entirely at their own risk. The decision to race or to continue racing is their own responsibility. The organizing authority will not accept any liability for material damage or personal injury or death sustained in conjunction with or prior to, during or after the regatta. 15 INSURANCE Each foreign competitor without FFVoile licence must be insured with a valid third-party liability insurance with a minimum cover of Euros. 16. Il a l entière responsabilité de son navire et de son équipage. Il s assure que le navire et tous les équipements requis sont en bon état, que l équipage a la connaissance et l aptitude nécessaire pour assumer la manœuvre et l utilisation. Il lui appartient de ne pas prendre le départ ou de gagner un abri ou les circonstances seraient de nature à mettre en danger son navire et son équipage. REGISTRATION CONDITIONS : According to the article # 4 of may the 3rd 1995 s law about the organization of events on water, the undersigned is officially declaring himself as chief and captain of the boat according to navylaws. The Captain has the entire responsibility of his boat and his crew. It has to make sure that required equipments are working safely and that crew members know how to proceed and use it properly. He has the sale capacity to decide weather racing or reaching a safe place. By this declaration, the captain is discharging the organizing authorities (Race Committee, Jury, organizors and any other physical person involved in the organization) from any responsibility regarding them about captain s crew and boat.
