This is a unique opportunity to interview students looking for full time and internship opportunities. The program includes an organized schedule of interviews through BroncoConnection, private interview room reservations, and a hospitality room with amenities. INFORMATION SESSIONS Increase visibility of your organization by providing expert industry and company path overviews to students. Promote your recruitment plans, boost resume submissions and encourage interview sign-ups at the session. Address general topics such as corporate culture, benefit packages, and other related topics. PUBLIC RELATIONS TABLE Reserve a table in a high-traffic student area outside of the Career Center. PR Tables present a unique opportunity to showcase your company and present job opportunities to students. RESUME BOOKS A resume book equips your company with access to 23,000 students and alumni. A book meets specific needs of employers based on the criteria selected. Resume books can also be customized for employers. JOB FAIRS & EVENTS Annually, the Career Center hosts multiple job fairs, expos and events, providing employers the opportunity to gain visibility on-campus, collect resumes, network, distribute literature, and recruit quality employees from our diverse student population. 4 history of CALPOLY POMONA Cal Poly Pomona opened September 15, 1938 with an all-male enrollment of 110 students as the Voorhis Unit of California State Polytechnic College in San Luis Obispo. It was located on the 150-acre San Dimas site of the former Voorhis School for Boys. Breakfast cereal magnate W.K. Kellogg deeded 813 acres of land located three miles south of the Voorhis campus to the state of California in In 1956, 508 students and 44 faculty and staff moved from San Dimas to the Kellogg campus. In a first for the all-male campus, 329 women joined the student body in The Pomona campus separated from the San Luis Obispo campus in 1966 and became California State Polytechnic College, Kellogg Campus. University status was granted in Today, the campus covers 1,438 acres and is the second largest in area among the California State University s 23 campuses. More than 3,000 faculty and staff support the education of 23,000 students. Striking a balance between urban excitement and rural charm, Cal Poly Pomona is nestled in 1,438 rolling acres on the eastern edge of Los Angeles County. Due to its location at the nexus of Los Angeles, Orange and San Bernardino counties, the university s students can swim in the ocean, ski in the mountains and visit the world s happiest amusement park in the same day. As one of only two polytechnic universities in the state, Cal Poly Pomona is known for its learn-by-doing philosophy. The university recognizes that students who solve classroom problems today have an advantage as employees solving real-world problems tomorrow. The university offers more than 60 majors and degree programs in eight academic colleges. Faculty in all disciplines apply theory to practice, creating opportunities for students to use their knowledge in hands-on projects, collaboration in research, and participation in valuable internships and service learning programs.
