8 I was referred to The College of Estate Management by both my employer and my training adviser at the Chartered Surveyors Training Trust, not long after I started work. Both my employer and training adviser considered CEM to be the place to go for surveying-based qualifications. For me, the academic reputation and flexibility of the College were particularly attractive. The ability to work full time whilst learning was also paramount, allowing me to acquire key technical skills alongside professional expertise. Lucy Winzer, BSc (Hons) Estate Management Graduate Surveyor, Smiths Gore, Kent, UK After I completed my Associate Degree in Estate Surveying, I had no hesitation in enrolling for a RICS-accredited Degree with CEM and I chose the BSc (Hons) Estate Management. CEM has a global reputation in the surveying field and many of my colleagues and university teachers had taken the course for their own career development. The flexibility and academic support really suited my need for a value-for-money study route which would also save me time compared with other learning options. 6 Sean Wu Wan Shing, BSc (Hons) Estate Management Officer (Planning & Development), Hong Kong Housing Society, Hong Kong
