2 The architectural office LGLS was founded in 1999 by its current three managing partners two of which have been teaching in Lisbon s Technical University School of Architecture for the last ten years and has done work in various design fields: housing, offices, public buildings, planning, consultancy, refurbishment. 3 Urban / Master Planning In the field of Urban planning / Master planning, we have made designs for commercial operations and for University Campus where the aspects of based building, infrastructure optimisation, typological adequacy and exterior landscaping have had the utmost importance.

7 Public Buildings Our office has a large curriculum of prizes won in public competitions, which resulted in the design of several medium scale buildings, built or about to be built, for various institutions (Ministry of Justice, University of Coimbra, Lisbon and Setúbal Polytechnics). These projects have allowed us to consolidate our capacities to deal with complex functional and infra-structural briefs, within very tight building budgets, resulting in projects recognised for their balance between initial costs and strategies to facilitate future maintenance and use.

12 Housing We have done several private commissions for single- -family houses, both new and refurbishment, always looking to provide a varied and qualified life support structure to be taken over by its users, either by its internal organization, or by its inside / outside relationships.

17 Interiors In all our residential projects (single family or multi-family) we seek to balance the client s needs and desires (and possibilities) within modern and contemporary material and visual references that favour all the qualities that provide comfort and define a home. We have designed office interiors for various multinationals, including a turn key contract for the refurbishment of the Lisbon branch of McKinsey and Company International consultants, a complex commission built in one month, possible due to a very thorough planning and schedule of building options.
