36 ENVIRONMENTAL POLICY ENVIRONMENTAL POLICY OF HABITÂMEGA -CONSTRUÇÕES, S.A. HABITÂMEGA CONSTRUÇÕES, S.A. is aware that all human activities are capable of leading to impacts on the Environment and it recognises the environmental performance of its activities, products and services as an integral part of its Corporate Social Responsibility as a major economic agent on the value chain of the markets where it operates. HABITÂMEGA CONSTRUÇÕES, S.A. publicly assumes the commitment to ensure that its affiliates will carry out their actions in accordance with the following principles: To integrate Environmental Management into the general management of the Company, assuming eco-efficiency as a management reference; To comply with the applicable environmental legislation and regulations and the environmental commitments which it has subscribed to, seeking to prepare in advance for the application of new legal requirements; To continuously improve the environmental performance of its activities, products and services, seeking to systematically prevent and reduce the respective environmental impacts and prioritizing the adoption of the best techniques available; To use natural resources and energy rationally and efficiently; To minimise waste production and prioritise the recovery of the waste generated, ensuring that any other waste is routed to the appropriate final destination; To ensure the integration of environmental values into the evaluation of new projects and into relevant decision-making for business evolution; To continuously Measure, Monitor and Evaluate the environmental performance of the Company and of the installations it runs in the light of pre-established management objectives; To influence the suppliers of products and services by assuming environmentally responsible behaviour and practices; To raise awareness and train all employees, raising individual and collective environmental awareness and competence; To cooperate and contribute to the development of public or private policies and government programmes and carry out, promote or participate in initiatives involving clients or the exterior community (local governments, non-governmental organisations, schools) which also seek to protect the environment; To periodically inform employees, suppliers, consumers, investors and any other parties concerned, in open, transparent fashion, about the evolution of the environmental performance of the Company.

37 HEALTH AND SAFETY POLICY HEALTH AND SAFETY POLICY OF HABITÂMEGA -CONSTRUÇÕES, S.A. HABITÂMEGA CONSTRUÇÕES, S.A. believes that when carrying out its activities, the safety of people, fixed and/or mobile installations, equipment and the environment is a strategic objective which must be continuously improved so as to ensure the satisfaction of the employees and of the parties concerned and system operationality. To achieve the objectives set, the following general principles are followed: Applying and enforcing the legislation in force regarding Safety, Hygiene and Health at the Workplace; Promoting the training and notification of all workers, employees and suppliers so as to progressively strengthen the Safety Culture at the ORGANISATION; Identifying, evaluating and controlling the risks facing the Health and Safety of employees, involving them in all the stages of the process; Promoting the participation of all employees in Health and Safety Management in such a way that each contributes to its effectiveness; Carrying out an exhaustive analysis of all the accidents or incidents occurring so as to determine their causes with a view to improving working conditions. As the foundation stone of this Policy, the application of general prevention principles as a tool for preventing and controlling the risks associated with the construction processes, HABITÂMEGA -CONSTRUÇÕES, S.A. will apply these principles at the works site so as to ensure worker health and safety: Avoid risk; Evaluate any risks which cannot be avoided; Combat risks at their origin; Adapt work to the man; Bear in mind the state of evolution of the technology; Replace anything dangerous with something which is danger-free or less dangerous; Plan prevention; Give priority to collective protection over individual protection; Give appropriate instructions to workers (Training and Information).

38 Group Philosophy In its quest to provide answers to the needs of all our Clients, the HABITÂMEGA Group has made the need for quality one of the mainstays of group philosophy. As it is a dynamic business group with a clear, consistent growth strategy, ready for the future thanks to experience gained over twenty years of activity, it seeks to gain the trust of all customers based on a lasting relationship of seriousness and professionalism. The emphasis placed on quality from the very outset entails constant investment in innovation, also entailing the involvement and qualification of the HABITÂMEGA Group s human resources. Short history of the Group The HABITÂMEGA Group started up in 1989 with the incorporation of the first group company: HABITÂMEGA CONSTRUÇÕES, LDA. This first company derived from a sole proprietorship company created in 1979 called Carlos Alberto Lemos. In 1991 there was an increase in company share capital and in 1993 the business name of the company was changed to HABITÂMEGA CONSTRUÇÕES, S.A. Company Share Capital currently stands at 1,450, Euros. Thanks to the success obtained new associated companies were subsequently created: KBW Granitos, S. A. BORA Imóveis de Portugal, S.A. HABIPRIME Importação e Representações, Lda. All HABITÂMEGA group companies are based at new, state-of-the-art premises in an industrial area which has boosted the carrying out of the activities of all group companies and their consolidation on the business market.

A., created in 1998 by the HABITÂMEGA Group is a company which is dedicated to the transformation and sale of Ornamental Rocks. Lending continuity to the activities already carried out since 1989 by the company HABITÂMEGA -CONSTRUÇÕES Lda., the company K.B.W Granitos, S. A. was created with a view to acting in autonomous fashion and obtaining a leading position on the Ornamental Rocks market. The company was created with quality in mind and it has thus invested heavily in equipment and machinery. At present, the company holds a position suitable for the requirements of the market, being one of the best equipped companies to act on the Ornamental Rocks sector. This modernisation is expressed by the diversity of commercialised products, supplying products to companies in the Civil Construction and Public and private works sector. The quality of the final product, the empathy, professionalism and monitoring at a works site provided by our sales people in the service of the customers (in measurement, budgeting and post-sales service) constitute the fundamental values of the philosophy of K.B.W. which it is intended to preserve.
