New in this version: Web-based deployment approach for store-based fulfillment execution capabilities with responsive web design technology that can be deployed on mobile and workstation devices. This helps store associates be more productive in the execution of store-based fulfillment initiatives and provides a seamless omni-channel experience for their customers. Improved response times and throughput for Real Time Availability Monitor (RTAM) and the inventory reservation API that helps you to make more reliable and accurate promises of inventory to your customers. Reduced solution deployment and implementation time and costs through the utilization of automated installation scripts on IBM SoftLayer as well as industryspecific workflow templates for improved time to value. IBM Sterling Configure, Price, Quote V9.4 enhancements enable business-tobusiness (B2B) and business-to-consumer (B2C) organizations to participate in the movement toward bundled selling with the opportunity to increase wallet share and provide an improved customer experience. You can sell solutions that span product, ancillary products, services, and subscriptions. New in Sterling Configure, Price, Quote V9.4: Multiple price type capability offers support for configuring and managing solution bundles that encompasses items with recurring and nonrecurring charges that help you to support subscription-based solution selling business models. This yields higher average customer lifetime value with potential for up-selling and cross-selling other products and services. Available APIs to simplify product configuration and the creation of bundles with support for sub-models provided. Capability to record and review incremental offering and bundle changes while upgrading a customer's existing solution bundle. The capability to record delta changes help improve order accuracy, service experience, and customer satisfaction leading to higher customer retention and business growth. API enhancements for granular sub-model manipulation that allow the configurator model to be accessed in modular fashion from any external system. Through external systems, you can offer a visually interactive experience during an incremental build of a configuration personalized to a customer's particular needs. Enhanced integration across IBM WebSphere Commerce, IBM Sterling Configurator, and IBM Sterling Visual Modeler, including support for global environments. IBM Call Center for Commerce V9.4 provides enhancements required for successful implementations and improves conformance to accessibility requirements. With V9.4, APIs are now invoked in Sterling Order Management and Sterling Configure, Price, Quote using IBM's new Web User Interface Framework. This new framework-based methodology promotes reusability, standardization, and compliance to accessibility and globalization standards. This change provides an alternative to the legacy console screens (JavaScript TM based) that were used to invoke APIs. With V9.4, the legacy console screens have been deprecated. 3 Key prerequisites The products in this release run on selected levels of the IBM AIX (R), HP-UX, Microsoft TM Windows TM, Red Hat Enterprise Linux TM, Sun Solaris, and SUSE Linux Enterprise operating systems. Planned availability date February 27, 2015 Description V9.4 continues the capabilities of previous releases to improve the efficiency of the store associate with tools that support cross-channel store fulfillment scenarios such as ship from store and buy online and pick up in store. Sterling Order Management V9.4 improves on store fulfillment capabilities by leveraging store inventory for cross channel orders, allowing stores to hold inventory in store for customer pickup or ship it to customer from the store. IBM Sterling Configure, Price, Quote V9.4 enables you to participate in the movement towards bundled selling, with new multiple price type for configuring and managing multiple charges, added capability for external systems to integrate with IBM Sterling Configurator, and support for capturing changes that results from upgrading an existing product bundle. Version 9.4 improves IBM WebSphere Commerce integration with IBM Sterling Configurator and usability of IBM Sterling Visual Modeler. IBM Call Center for Commerce provides functional enhancements required for successful implementations and improving conformance to accessibility requirements. V9.4 features a preconfigured order management installation script on IBM SoftLayer to help enable faster deployment and reduce startup time and cost. There are also industry-specific workflow templates to help reduce time to implement. Store The program selected for every store needs to match the size of the physical retail setting. The size of the store is calculated as the area measure of the building. 11 An entitlement to a larger format can be applied to cover a store that has a smaller format. Small Format = 0 to 15,000 square feet (or 0 to 1,393 square meters) Medium Format = 15,001 to 60,000 square feet (or 1,394 to 5,574 square meters) Large Format = 60,001 to 110,000 square feet (or 5,575 to 10,219 square meters) Mega Format = 110,001 and above square feet (or 10,200 and above square meters) The Rich Client Platform versions of IBM Sterling Store V9.3 and IBM Sterling Call Center V9.3 have been certified for use with Sterling Order Management V9.4. The V9.3 Rich Client Platform solutions are packaged with Sterling Order Management V9.4. Terms and conditions The information provided in this announcement letter is for reference and convenience purposes only. The terms and conditions that govern any transaction with IBM are contained in the applicable contract documents such as the IBM International Program License Agreement, IBM International Passport Advantage Agreement, and the IBM Agreement for Acquisition of Software Maintenance. This product is only available via Passport Advantage. Licensing IBM International Program License Agreement including the License Information document and PoE govern your use of the program. PoEs are required for all authorized use. Part number products only, offered outside of Passport Advantage, where applicable, are license only and do not include Software Maintenance. Agreement for Acquisition of Software Maintenance These programs are licensed under the IBM Program License Agreement (IPLA) and the associated Agreement for Acquisition of Software Maintenance, which provide for support with ongoing access to releases and versions of the program. IBM includes one year of Software Subscription and Support (also referred to as Software Maintenance) with the initial license acquisition of each program acquired. The initial period of Software Subscription and Support (also referred to as Software Maintenance) can be extended by the purchase of a renewal option, if available. These programs have a one-time license charge for use of the program and an annual renewable charge for the enhanced support that includes telephone assistance (voice support for defects during normal business hours), as well as access to updates, releases, and versions of the program as long as support is in effect. 12 Limited warranty applies Yes Limited warranty IBM warrants that when the program is used in the specified operating environment, it will conform to its specifications. The warranty applies only to the unmodified portion of the program. IBM does not warrant uninterrupted or error-free operation of the program or that IBM will correct all program defects. You are responsible for the results obtained from the use of the program. IBM provides you with access to IBM databases containing information on known program defects, defect corrections, restrictions, and bypasses at no additional charge. For further information, consult the IBM Software Support Handbook found at IBM will maintain this information for at least one year after the original licensee acquires the program (warranty period). Money-back guarantee If for any reason you are dissatisfied with the program and you are the original licensee, you may obtain a refund of the amount you paid for it, if within 30 days of your invoice date you return the program and its PoE to the party from whom you obtained it. If you downloaded the program, you may contact the party from whom you acquired it for instructions on how to obtain the refund.
